Kim what size would you like for her the one that is posted is a shoulder bag that I made for me and also one for my DD who is 16. You can also go the easy sroute out and make a placemat purse that calls for onw nice sturdy placemat and just sew up both sides you can add a lining if you would like also a pocket, and then use the straps webbing that is at most quilts store( i.e Walmart, Joanns ,etc) I did many and have used velcro sew in kind as a closure or just use a magnetic snap or whatever your preference is, any more help just post back and I will do what I can.
I only quilt on Day's that End in " Y "!

Thanks for helping me with that link!! I just saw another real cool idea for making a childs handbag...using two pot holders. it works the same way a placemat purse would work....real simple idea!!
