Hello All,

I am once again on the lookout for easy, lovely gifts to make for Christmas. What are your ideas, or things you are making? Websites? books?

Thanks! Dorian

those were some cute fingertip mitts on the first site - i can see where those would be much handier than full-size oven mitts - now to make the pattern print correctly . . . as deb would say: ARGHHHHHHHH

One idea I have for my DD that I am still working on is a cookbook of her favorite meals I have made. For as tiny as she is, she sure likes to eat.
There was one meal I made called Burger Bundles. Serves 4. Sitting at the dinner table I thought okay I will have something for lunch the next day. My DD surprised me by taking seconds. It is rare that she will have seconds. I was totally surprised. I just had to share that story.

Meg, I am glad that it opened. I was having a time getting the right website.

I'm planning to make some Penny's Zippered Shoulder Bags that were mentioned on this Forum sometime back: http://www.sewforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=48487&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

I thought my little grandgirls would like these, and want to make a few for the "Santa Shop" at the school where my DD works.

Thank you Trina, for those sites. They are some cute things in them.

The zippered bag and wine glass coaster are good ideas. Bell, I was too lazy to wait for the video for the coasters to load. Is there a page that has just the directions on it and maybe a picture?

I like your cookbook idea Trinia. I love it when picky/finicky eaters eat more of something than you think they will.

These are basically the types of things I'm looking for. It doesn't nessasarily have to be a quilted item, but something to do with sewing. I usually make homemade goodies; fudge, cookies, etc. And was just looking for something different this year.

Thanks all, keep the ideas coming.

Thisis a tutorial for the square ones. for the round ones, you just cut out circles instead, using a CD as the pattern, hope this helps!!
