Hi Ladies,

Does anyone know where I can find a pattern for a Blue Star Service Banner? My DH wants me to make one for a friend of his, but I'm a little fuzzy on the proportions. Any help would be great.

Thanks!
Delia

I remember seeing a pattern for that back before Christmas. Now to just remember where I saw it. I'll take a look and see if I can find it.

Well, that's strange, Sara, I can't get either to open. Delia, I did not make mine. I got it at the the local American Legion post.

I couldn't get either one to open either. I tracked down some info, though. I was just hoping to get the proportions accurate and none of the patterns I've found seem to do that.

Meg, I think the recipient in question actually has one from the American Legion, but my DH wants him to have "a NICE one", so it's on me now. Oh well... least I can do!

Delia-

I have a request out to the Coast Guard support group for a pattern. I understand what your son is saying, but I thought the one I got was very well made. Maybe there are different manufacturers in different parts if the country.

Hmmm, that's strange. Oh well, one of the links is the one that Barb gave you. You might try doing a right-click, copy shortcut, then paste in the address bar. Just a thought.

I just found this one: http://mccallsquilting.com/special_pubs/508_familypride/
