I saw one time a quilt that was made from the purple and gold bags that Crown Royal comes in. I don't use the stuff but the quilt was beautiful. Anybody have a pattern, or can you explain how it was made. I'm new to Blockcentral forum. Thanks so much, Johnnie F. KEEP SMILING, MAKES QUILTS PRETTIER. Smile

Sorry I can't help you regarding the crown royal bags - don't know them - but I'm sure someone will be along soon with info. In the meantime - welcome to the forum, nice to have you with us, Johnnie - how about dropping a line in the Introduction thread so you can get a good welcome Smile

Here is a snapshot of the quilt.

I Goggled Crown Royal quilt and was amazed at the interest in this quilt. From what I read, it takes about 300 bags to make a queen size quilt. I do not know how to include the distinctive yellow stitching; that would require an 8" block and the bags are only 7 x 9". One word, of caution: the bags are made from felt, this quilt could not be washed.

The stitching is on the bags - I have a couple of them. My mom used them to hold jewelry.

What I meant to say, Linda, was that to include the yellow stitching would require cutting an 8" block. Since the bags are generally 7x9" that would be difficult to do. Sorry I wasn't clear. Sometimes it makes perfect sense in our minds only.
