Jacks Chain and that one labeled Morning Glory on the link are one and the same Smile I saw it and just can't resist making it.

Hey Dorian, Thank you!!!! I've been trying to find a pattern to make for my youngest DD! This is it! I can use up some scraps and make a unique gift for the almost birthday girl. Perfectly perfect.
I think I'll make it with a navy blue background and then really POP it with bright colours.

OOOOHHH! Those colors sound great, Kim! I've always loved brights on a dark background! I'm thinking of making Jack's Chain sometime in the coming year too. I have SO many scraps to use up, and this is a perfect pattern for them!

Hey, that's a great idea Wendy! What does everyone else think? If some of us want to, I can ask Kim and we can do it as a challenge or whatever it is and have an albumn and such for it.

I have almost all the 9 squares cut out for mine. Just waiting to get some material for the triangles and hex's.

Hey Kim, that's a great idea on colors. I've been wondering what color to get for the triangles/hex's. I'm going to do mine so they are both the same color. Dark would go good with my 9 patch colors. And you're most welcome for the idea Smile

Hey, I'm up for it! Are there any tricks for cutting out the hexagons? Or is it a case of cutting them out by hand? I've gotten so used to using the rotary cutter,it's almost sinful. I even use my pizza cutter for other things! Slicing toast, bacon, waffles....It's round it's sharp, I'll use it to cut anything!

Let me know when we are starting and if anyone has any hints on the cutting.

I'm sorry Kim, I haven't tried cutting out any hex's yet. Not sure if there is any better way to cut them out or not.

After the holidays I'll talk to Kim and then see if we have enough interest in doing this as a challenge. If not, the few of us who are doing it, can still chat about it and show pics/etc here in this thread.
