Ok, I am stumped. I am going to make a quilt as a wedding gift. Their style is Modern and their colors are Earth Tones.

Can anyone offer up suggestions of what a Modern type quilt pattern would be? (I am hoping everyone doesn't suggest Judy Niemeyer designs, that would be hard for me to deal with.)

How about a nice basket weave pattern (like the one on page 35 of the new Keepsake Quilting catalog) Now that quilt is rich looking and sharp.

The leaves or circles here look pretty modern. I am in the middle of an (ugh!) earth tone project myself. I am doing a variation of a strip quilt. (serial quilter blog has a pic) Good luck!
