I was in Beverly's quilt store yesterday and I saw some fabric with the ice cream design that is exactly like the avatar you have Poohbear. Did you get it from that fabric?

Here are two quilts that I did so far for the center.........

One is from my scraps and the other one is from a friend that donated the butterfly blocks that are on the green and lavendar, I added the ones on muslin to off set it a bit and to make a nice small quilt for a baby...........

Thank you.........I am having a great time playing with all the fabrics and figure out these quilts. I know the kids are going to have a great time with it too.

We have schedule two sessions so far for the kids to come and make these quilts.

We started out with 5 to 6 teenagers and then they told a friend and now we are up to about 10 to 14. And I have some calls to return today for a few more kids. So it looks like we will be setting up another quilt day for them. I asked each teenager to bring a yard of fabric with them for there donation quilt.

My dd1 wants to do a quilt day with her friends now. Oh not seeing that happening for a little bit. They are 8 to 10 yrs old.

At least with the teenagers they have had some sewing in JR High and some are taking it now in high school again. So most of them know a bit about sewing machines and seam allowances.

I will do a quilt day with my daughter and 2 friends soon, maybe sometime this summer. I love that my children love making things. I am very proud of them for wanting to make things for donations too.

I even have a pair like those, cause they are so comfortable and I buy them every year at Christmas time. It seems to be the only time of the year that I see them in the stores.........I bought some this year at walmart when they went on clearance for hubby and me, then a pair for my son too. Cause he likes them.........now I can't get them off his feet. LOL!

Don't give up on me Audrey! I know I am running later than I planned but I did get a box of scraps ready to go to the post office in the morning. So they will be there soon.

Make sure and share some pics of you and the girls sewing together. We would all love to see them.
