FABRIC SEARCH REQUEST

I'm looking for a horse fabric that's got a cream/white background with horses running in the snow. I don't know the maker...but...it's got groups of horses "running in the snow". I've found FQ's on Ebay but I need a full 1 3/8 yards (all in one piece)

Thanks in advance!

Is this it, Felicia?

http://www.cottonpatchfabrics.com/cgi-bin/Store/store.c...es&sales=0&lastmenu=

If so, it is also available here:
http://www.bighornquilts.com/cgi-bin/Store/store.cgi?keywords=horses
near teh bottom of the page. Price is better on the first site.

If not, there are two different ones here:
http://www.dakotacabinquilts.com/cgi-bin/Store/store.cgi?keywords=horses

And another one here ... this one looks like SNOW! Snowing ...
http://www.mybluebamboo.com/cgi-bin/Store/store.cgi?car...es&sales=0&lastmenu=

And yet another one here:
http://www.stitchingpostquilts.com/cgi-bin/Store/store.cgi?keywords=horses
They only have a yard, but if it is the one you are looking for, you have the manufacturers info to narrow down your search.

If it is none of the above, let us know and we can continue the search,

Pat

Thanks Pat!

It's not an exact match, but by golly... I marked a couple to my favs...and I'll use them if I don't find the exact one I want!

You're a sweetie for sniffing them up for me!

Hugs...and poof*

I've been happy with fabric from www.suzannesquilts.com -- they used to be in Florida and now they're in Georgia. Shipping is fast, quality is excellent, and talk about customer service -- I ordered 3 yards once and they called to say they were 2 inches short of 3 yards and would that be okay.

I wouldn't even have noticed 2 inches missing from a 3 yard order!

How nice! That kind of honesty will always bring a customer back! It's better advertising then a full page ad!

Thanks for posting the link!

Hi Felicia,
I too love your crane fabric & love the site Wish upon a Star. I'm going to shop there.
Is this the horse fabric you are looking for?

Hi Rebecca...
Thanks for posting! Yep... I already have that fabric, but I found the right stuff by accident one night on eBay. It should be here any day! It was VERY VERY close to what's posted so I was beginning to think I had lost my mind, but there is a version that's got a whiter background.

Off for now! Have a good evening!

poof*

Hi. Overrainbow.com is excellent, and I have found some awesome deals at quiltfabriccloseouts.com. I have ordered from both and had very good results. Both can also be found through quiltshops.com, which in my opinion has a very good reputation.

SO info I can offer as far as quality. It is true that a fabric can have a "designer" name and not be first quality, but this is the rarity rather than the norm. Online shops as well as brick and mortar shops can scam you all the same, but here are things to look for that may raise an eyebrow:
-When purchasing in a shop, does the fabric not match the bolt end? If it doesn't match up, the shop owner could be buying either flatfolds or 2nds and rolling them onto leftover or purchased empty bolts.
-When purchasing online, does the "shop" appear to work with many well known manufacturers or just one or two? Chances are if they are carrying Quilt Shop only fabrics(Kaufman, Hoffman, RJR, Michael Miller, P&B, Benartex, etc.) and a good variety of them, they are working legitimately with these companies.

If you are not sure but want to order, place a smaller order first. Hope this helps!

I have to agree with Kim. www.Keepsakequilting.com I have been to there store and ordered on line and over the phone. All there stuff is great and they have more that just fabric. It is a huge store. It takes me to my happy place to be in their store. Good luck with the search I hope you find what you are looking for.
