Hi Ladies,
I've started a quilt for Joseph 13.5 year old grandson. Was going to do a bookshelf, jar quilt for him, but thought he might be too old for it...at that "funny" stage and I don't mean Ha, Ha funny. He's a great kid, but since I've moved to England, we are out of touch with each other and when I left he was still a little boy, now he's a young man.

So, I found a pattern and decided to use earth colours, browns, purples, greens, burnt orange and a red batik with all those colours in it. I have one fq of the Cranston Village Maasai Stripe gold and I really could use another one. If anyone knows where I might get some, I'd surely appreciate it. It's made up of wavey stripes with leaves, animal prints, beades, and bright earth colours. It's a nice way to help add some co-ordination to the quilt.

Thanks again,
KimUK

Kim- could you post a picture of the fabric you need? Don't know about others, but I would have better luck spotting it in a store if I had s visual idea of what I am looking for.

Kim, I had a good idea which fabric you wanted - our local WalMart sold this line early this year (no, I didn't buy any, just picked up a pattern made with it), and looked there this morning first thing - yes, I bypassed the quilt magazines up front to get to the back of the store!) to see if any was left. So often, they carry the same fabric for months on end, over a year sometimes!! Unfortunately, they were all out!

I also checked on Cranston's website, but they don't show it anymore, either. Frown

Maybe keep checking E-Bay or http://www.missingfabrics.com/ . Someone may have some.

Grrr, I meant to post an image, but we were late getting ready to go to brother-in-laws birthday dinner. Another story there, waited an hour and a half for our food...some of us that is, the rest got their food after only about 45 minutes...they gave us free dessert and drinks...I ate like a pig and suffered the heart burn for my glutony. I had caramel Brown Apple Betty with ice-cream....yummy!

Back to the fabric...I found some! Woke up just 30 minutes ago(3:00 in the morning) and the name of an online seller who also sells on ebay (where I first purchased the original fq)came into my head! I just ordered half a metre (just over half a yard to you non-metric types). I'm a happy Grammie.

Here is the fabric anyway...very pretty!

Thanks for your help ladies,
KimUK
