Thank you both for the love you are sending my way it is special to have newbies thinking of me during this time of unrest for me. I do have wonderful caring doctors and they are on top of what to do next so I am well in that area as well as having a host of fiends here to cheer me on through this. I will try to work on my blocks tomorrow and start sewing some of the blocks together and when I am finished I will share a pic of it here, I am still waiting for several blocks to fly home to me so I will add them as they arrive. Felicia I know you are greatly rewarded for the job that you do because I see so much love in the patients hwere I go to my oncologist and sirgeon as they all work together with the doctors offices to see to the patients needs. I love the ones who are caring for me they are there where the action is and know and see what we are going through and most of them are so generious and kind-hearted with us. Maybe you can make and share a pic of this quilt when it is donated and we can drool over it with you. Again Felicia and Bear it is so good to have you here on BC with us and plese stay around so we can get to know all of you better. Blessings Deb |

Your beautiful block winged it's way home to me speedily coming from Canada, It is just beautiful I love the flowers and the words you added to the block. Thank you for the love you put into the block. I still have a few not made it here yet so maybe after I heal I can stitch them all together for a top. They all look great together the squares that made it back are not beautiful blocks to go with the blocks some of you made and sent to me. They are so pretty together. Love and hugs one and all Deb |

Hey there quilty friends,
I don't have any silly or odd stories to share about my day today all went well. I am feeling all right the surgery went great, the needle thingy was good~they got it in good first try so that relieved a lot of stress. I got home about 3pm and laid down for a bit. My surgeon is just great he told everyone whatever I want I got so they kept asking me if I was medicated enough pain wise and brought me plenty to snack on and drink after my surgery. My arm is feeling like I have over tired my muscles under my arm and if the bandages were off it would feel better but I have to wear this tape stuff until tomorrow, I can have a shower tomorrow and just put on a band aid after that, can't do anything until i see the doc next week though. There were 4 knotty lumps that he removed so I am glad it was done and they are gone I had only found 2 myself. The nurses were all just super good to me and the ones in pre-op were too. I apologize for not posting much I felt horrible yesterday after both my doc visits and didn't make it to the computer until late last night and I just made a couple replies about my surgery~one to you all and one to an old friend from Cananda then I piled back up with some sleep meds and for some reason when I have plans I just can't sleep, I tossd and turned all night long I don't think I was stressed enough for that to keep me up, but my brain just wont shut off! but I feel better today anyway droggy from the meds and getting a bit sore and stiff feeling. Well, enough for now hubby has gone to get my anti-botics and pain meds filled and I put some chicken in the oven to bake so he will take over kitchen duty when he gets back from the drug store and I am back to the sofa for more fun r-e-s-t!!! Yuck but a must do so I can be sewing again soon! I did post the same info on the prayers for Debo thread so not retype all this twice. Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers IT does work! PS I carried the beautiful pink BCA quilt that you all sent me to the hospital today and started getting it signed by the workers there and next week I will cary it back and get the ones that I missed today and also to the Oncologist, surgeon and even my RA doc because they also had a hand with my meds during my biopsy, masectomy, chemo and other surgeries during that time. I have been poked and prodded more than my pin cushion this past year & half. Love to all, may God's love shine on you in all you do, Deb Happy Quilting! I am home from seeing my surgeon and oncologist today and I am worn out but wanted to let you know about my progress. This is a copy and patse from my prayers for Debo site: The surgeon didn't put in a drainage tube when he did my surgery last week and it decided on it's own this past Monday to decide to release it'self on me full tilt!!! I soaked a tee shirt I was wearing and made me go back to a pad to absorb all the fluid that is now flowing like a water tap drip!!! ARG I called the docs office that day and told me I could help it to drain if I wanted to & as long as it wasn't infected to wait until my appointment today and he would take care of it for me. HE DID!!! He drew off a 1/4cup of fluid and left the stitches in until I go back on Monday I have to have more fluid drained off until it stops draining and heals up. It sure does feel much better with that drained off, this is the first time since he drained it that I can leave the bandage off and not get soaked! I got tons of compliments about the quilt the patients there today loved it too! I wish you all could of been there to see their expressions when I ask each of them to sign it for me they were so thrilled and even thanked me for letting them sign it. Ladies this is something next time we all make a quilt for someone to consider doing for them it is so exciting and to go through health issues it would give the patient something to brighten their day, I have all of your names on the back and then the care givers are signing it so it does have a double imapact. Thank you all again beacuse thiss one just keeps giving and giving. I am filled with joy because of you all. Love and hugs all Happy Quilting! Hi I have finally gotten the green light to go back to sewing got my stitches out today and this has been the most misery for the last 2 weeks I don't know what is wrong it isn't the stitches but I have just felt like the pits this last go around! I see my oncologist in May and my surgeon & RA doc again in July so maybe I am headed back up stream finally. Thank you all once again for all your thoughts and prayers don't know how I would of survived without them and you to get me through this go around. Love and hugs Deb |
