Hi, Another pattern is called Escaping Bugs Quilt. I've got the pattern somewhere...! Google it and have a laugh. It's paper pieced has bugs, lizards, etc. I will eventually make one for each of my grandkids with all kinds of things in the jars, books on the shelves and probably a football or doll on the shelves, along with a photo in a frame of their favourite Grammy!
Cheers,
KimUK

I made the Ginger Jar quilt from oct. '07 Quilter's World and it came out just beautiful. I had been collecting FQs of Asian fabrics and they were perfect size for this project.

Hi Ms,
I'm in central Utah 10 miles South of Richfield. It is absolutely georgeous here and we love it. I marvel every day at the beauty of the mountains around us and that I get to live here.

Dee and Gerda,

Finally had time to look at the sites for Ginger Jars. Wow! You girls were busy. Thanks so much for your effort. I still want to make a ginger jar quilt, but I actually found a quilt that would be way faster to make and suit my purpose just as well.

Thanks again, ladies.

Meg
Good choice! I love your pattern choice in this quilt. It looks like the one I am making hubby a fire-fighters fabrics quilt from only the small blocks are on the opposite side. Is it 13" squares?

Happy Quilting!

I have always been interested in people who make me laugh!!! You can never have a dull moment with these people. And if you happen to have "one of those moments" then it's okay, they just laugh with you.

No, Dee, the link was from this site that Gerda posted. What appealed to me was the concept; just squares and rectangles, no fussy cuts, no templates, no applique. Simple, easy, quick! I don't think it is bias tape, just narrow sashing; at least that is how I will do it. Bias tape would be risky; too much chance of stretching.

Deb, I don't have the pattern, was just going to wing it. Tell me about the one you are doing. I could use the inspiration.
