Wendy and I saw this pattern book while out shopping after the quilt show.... I debated about getting it but have since decided that YES, I will. It's just adorable. My daughter loves hedgehogs and there is the cutest one to applique in here plus turtles, rabbits... lots of animals.

That looks like a really cute book Deb. Did you order it online? And did you have any problems with that company? The reason I asked is, I placed a fabric order with them 2.5wks ago, and still haven't seen it. Nor have they taken my money from bank. I have gotten no emails or phone calls that anything is wrong. It's very frustrating. I plan on calling them in the next day or two.

hmmm.... Well, I havent placed the order yet. Was thinking about doing it today but after reading your post, I think I'll get it locally. My quilt shop will order anything for me... takes her just a couple of days. I just thought since this had 25 percent off I would try.

I'm thinking of doing some hedgehog blocks in a quilt for my youngest daughter. She LOVES hedgehogs and this one is so cute. Maybe a block or two with happy mushrooms (another fav) plus retro birds and owls. This is a FUTURE project... just getting it ready in my head. Grandmas quilt is DONE so I'll be working on my happy blocks quilt, my other daughters rail fence quilt and finishing up my baby blocks UFO. That should keep me going for a bit...

Just a thought.... if I can buy it locally, I do, especially since so many small local quilt shops are barely hanging on with the economy the way it is. Seems brick and mortar companies really take it hard with the extra overhead. I hate it when local shops have to close. We lost 3 shops in the greater Portland ARea this last year. One to retirement, one to the economy, and one had to close due to family illness issues. Still a shame. Ill miss them.

Big Box stores like JoAnns is about all there is left..
