I picked up a neat and EASY pattern at JoAnns the other day (week, month). It is called Sequined Bohemian Quilt.

The pattern CALLS for nine 1/2-yard pieces of fabric, each one cut into two 17" x 21" pieces., and 1-1/2 yards of fabric for the borders. I chose 18 FQs from my stash (all florals) to make this quilt, and two other 1-yard pieces of my stash for the borders. You use nine 17"x21" pieces for the back and nine for the front. Sew them along the long sides in three rows of three blocks for the front, and the same for the back. Add 5-1/2" strips for borders on both sides, then sandwich with batting and sew envelope-style all the way around. Then turn and quilt however you desire.

HOW EASY! And what a great way to use up those FQs that are gathering lint because you HAD to HAVE them but you don't know what to do with them.

I chose 9 light-colored florals for one side and 9 darker florals for the other. So one side is spring/summer, and the other is fall/winter.
I can't find the pattern on line at JoAnns.com. Maybe they are just late in posting it? I'm still looking, but otherwise the directions above are pretty much IT!

Let me know what you think.

I find the JoAnn's on-line very frustrating to navigate. Where would a person look to see if the directions are on-line? Your directions are very clear, and this sounds like a great way to make some two-for-one gifts and start to deplete (yeah, like in 10 years, maybe) my stash. I am such a visual learner, I need to see a mock up, other wise I am sewing blind, and I don't have a braille machine! Smile

On the JoAnns.com website, under Projects, Quilting, there are a lot of quilt and other project patterns. But this one, for some reason, is not there.

I will take a picture of mine later today. I finished one top (sans borders) last night in about 15 minutes (8 seams). I am going to JoAnns for the ruler now, and will see if they have more of this project sheet.

WOW! Jacqui - have you been taking lessons from Gerda?

I looked all OVER the website and couldn't find it. Even searched by name.

Thanks!

Jacqui -

Could you please post the JoAnn website link (maybe the one immediately before you select these pattern instructions) and tell us how to get there? The file you posted IS the pattern, but it is a PDF, and I believe we are not supposed to post PDF files due to copyright issues.

I've been looking and still cannot find how to get there from JoAnn.com. Thanks!

Jacqui, I love the pattern and also loved the checkerboard quilt they showed as well! Thanks for the link to them. The pdf link was still in your first posting so I deleted it for ya. Hope that was okay with you.
