I too have never been to this site. Thanks for the post. I have saved the quilt pattern and also the quilted pillow pattern. Both look like great, quick gifts!

Kersten - love the slideshow, you have been busy.

Linda - would love to see a piccie of your finished quilt. This pattern looks very appealing and a very good way of using up all those odd pieces of fabric and FQs

Jacqui - thanks for posting the link to those patterns, there are a few there I would like to make

This looks like a fun and easy one to make.

The 10 yds of sequins-by-the-yard -- I've never worked with those. Do they have to be sewn on by hand?

Auntie Pam..

I vote for glue gunning those sequins on the quilt...*giggling*... JUUUUUUST KIIIIDDING!!!! Razz However...that is a good question. Do sequins hold up to washing abuse? Do you sew them on in a strand...or one little itty bitty eyeball annoying sparklie at a time?? Confused

Thanks so much for posting this! Another "easy breezy" project for the goils in the center's quilt club!

Fons and Porter were bringing back "Quillows" yesterday. That might be easy enough for a beginner to tackle too!

I'll be on the hunt for fast easy projects for LIFE now...lol

Oh... I'd like to toss something out here. If you can print that page off now... DO SO. I can't tell you how many times (before I wised up) that I went back to a site looking for something (pattern...directions...etc) and couldn't access it...or worse yet....EVEN FIND IT.

I already printed off the Sequined Bohemian Quilt page...and squirreled it off to my sewing room.

Thanks again for posting the proper link. I was disappointed when I first saw the deleted PDF file. You ladies rock!!!

The sequins by the yard can be sewn on by machine, I think. I'm not sure that I will put any sequins on the quilt, but it would give a little "pizazz" to the quilt. LOL! You could also embellish with buttons, lace, and anything else.

And Felicia, I agree about printing the patterns out immediately when you find them. I, too, have saved a link, only to find it is no longer valid when I want to use it.

I spoke to a representative from the Wright notions company. They do NOT recommend machine stitching even the single strand of sequins by the yard. Only hand stitching. The sequin will break if the needle hits it by mistake. I wouldn't want to run the risk of having sewn on two yards and then have to take it off when I ws almost done.

Also no machine washing, the agitation is to much and might break the sequins. Dry clean only is recommended. Whether it could be hand laundered I don't know. I hand beaded my wedding dress and a couple of jackets, using individual sequins and seed beads. I dryclean them, and you need to make sure the cleaner has the proper equipment to handle them. Hope that answers some of questions that cropped up.
