Oh Jess, I just did a quick pop in to see what was happening and you almost stopped my heart. Your Contrary Wife block is GORGEOUS! Now I know that you are not only a natural at sewing but your color sense is amazing too! You're gonna make some beautiful quilts, girl! Way to go!!!

You are too kind, Mary. Thank you so much! I spent a long time on that Contrary Wife block, last night and again this morning. There was a point when I hated it... but I love it now!
I was a bit unsure of the colors, but the more blocks I put up here, the better they all look together I think. I love the yellows but am throwing some tans in there as well. Julia - those new blocks are amazing! I just love the fall theme of your blanket. It looks like Thanksgiving to me!! I had a bit of a problem with one of the blocks last night. A-9, Chinese Coin. The measurements for the pieces just did not work. MaryKS, I see that you have this one done, did you have any issues with it? I may have made a silly mistake and just need to start over, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out what went wrong...
