NO WAY!!! You're Dutch?!?! Woohooooo - another Dutchie!! I was born in Holland, came to Canada when I was 1, with my parents. I still speak, read and write the lingo!
It sounds intriguing, as apparently the blocks are mainly done with reverse applique. I have the book and hope to start it someday - just need to find a) the right blue fabric and b) time - that one would be easy if I would just quit everything else that comes up and calls my name

Thanks, Gerda and Julia, for pointing me at these patterns. I finally found them!
I am thinking I am going to buy this book when it coms out in the spring 2009. I have the first Elm Creek pattern book and I have checked the others out of the library. I like her patterns and stories.
Gerda ... that Dutch Treats book looks interesting ... all applique? ... I will not be making this one anytime soon ... I need to get over my fear of applique ...

Quilting is my passion..... Chocolate comes in a close second
I just got this book in the mail and am anxious to start making the blocks! I would love to know what your progress is on it! I imagine it will be a long while before it's completed!
Traci I worked on this quilt for two and half years. Now mind you it was just on my days off and when I could get a few minutes to work on it. I made it for my sons wedding which is coming up real soon. I will get some pics of it in the next week and post them for you. I did the quilt in all fall and woody tones. I really enjoyed doing this quilt and look forward to another one if she does it. Julia

Gerda~ Thanks so much for the hint! I ordered it and it's on the way. I did print out all the patterns when they were on the website, but I love the idea of actually having the pattern book!
I sure hope I can finish this quilt in my lifetime <G>
