Grandmother's Flower Garden!
Meg, I should tell you that I learned how to make this one on Sunday using hexs cut from plastic lids for the remplates. It was fun! I now have started a collection of plastic hexs and am going to use a lot of floral scraps I have to do this as a portable project. http://www.quilterscache.com/Y/YellowDervishBlock.html I like the way this game makes me look for the blocks! I learn a lot of new blocks this way. Yes, Meg, she used a hole punch for the centers so they would be easy to take out ... and I learned how to turn and tack them on the edges and then sew them into rounds ... popping the ones in the middle out and leaving the ones on the outside for support until the nesxt round is added. It was a demonstration at the Quilt Show. I though it was pretty neat.
