Just to let everyone know that my favorite virtual hop is back for March. I am really wanting to win one of the big prizes this time. They have TWO sewing machines and an organizer you can win.

Oh..I forgot you just go to www.fabshophop.com. I really do like visiting the shops.

I wish I had known about this the first round back in January. I completed the hop on Saturday, with the exception of 4 stores, 3 don't have the bunny, and one I couldn't find, and since I got a rude reply from the shop owner in an email I wont go back there. I love "Over the Rainbow" store, as it has great novelty fabrics...and I'm getting that wizard of oz line from somewhere. It must be mine! Big Grin

Jenn -

I have found that MOST quilt shops have very friendly people working there, and they will bend over backwards to help you, either on the phone or in person. But there are several shops I have been in where I have had some people act like I was interrupting them if I asked a question. Isn't that funny?

I have purchased from Over the Rainbow, too, and they are very helpful. In fact, one time I needed an older fabric from a line they carried and I emailed them. They were out of the fabric, but contacted a customer of theirs, who they knew had some of the fabric, and their customer helped me find an online shop who had some. Now that was service! I will go back there, for sure.

yes, Over the Rainbow has great customer service! Bear Paw Quilts is the place that was really rude to me. I wont buy anything from them after the response I got. When I told them I would bypass their site since they were unwilling to help, they quickly responded asking me for my IP address so they could see how long I had been on their site, and then they would give me the direct link to their bunny.

I figure either I'm not the only one who has passed them up, and they're now eating their words, or they're really hurting for business, which wont change unless they fix their attitude. Either way I wont be back Smile

It makes me sad that Bear Paw was nasty with you! I've been buying from them for several years & have always had great dealings...

I'm having a blast with the HOP!! Hoping to WIN!

I had trouble finding the Bear Paw bunny too, so it's not just you. I still haven't found it.

I made the January Hop only barely, I found out about it only 2 days before the end! Managed to get to all but one site. This year I'm taking a bit more time with everything and marking some favorite shops. Made my 130 already, but I want to get to them all. Thank goodness for fast internet connections!

Ah ha! Just to let you know, I did finally find the Bear Paw bunny just now, but it was 4 clicks from the homepage, not one or two like it's supposed to be. There may be a way to get there a simpler way, but it took me ages to finally get to it!

Hi all,

I'm a newbie on BC. I have done several "in real life" shop hops and have had a total blast. What is a virtual one...and how is it done?

Thanks in advance,

Felicia

Hi, Felicia,

Here is the main webpage for the Fab Shop Hop:
http://www.fabshophop.com/hopmain.asp

You just register and then follow the directions.

The March one ends soon, but it looks like there is another beginnning in April. Of course, there is still plenty of time to find the bunny in enough shops for the March one ... if you start hopping.

I know what Felicia is going to be doing tonight ... Wink Pat
