I am hoping that you will NOT see my son on next year's season. He just got his orders and is going to the cutter that does S&R in that area.
I know I should be grateful that he will still be in the USA; he could have been sent overseas. That is not to say that where he is going won't have an element of danger to it. The seas around Alaska are some of the most treacherous in the world. Please keep him in your prayers. Thank you ladies for your good thoughts. I think I was just in shock that he would be going so far away. Need I tell you how much I will miss him? On the bright side, I did Google Ketchikan and found a couple of quilt stores and info about some quilt retreats. There are also some quilting cruises that stop in Ketchikan. Hmmmmmm........ this might have possibilites.

Meg will certainly put your son on my prayer list. I just found out yesterday that a great-nephew has been in Iraq and is home on 4 month leave Then he goes back to Mosul...which is really really bad.
