Ladies I just got this email from a friend of mine here in Oklahoma. I know the family would appreciate all prayers for this young man.
Jonathan was injured in Iraq. They flew him to Germany and then back to the states this week.
He has TBI - Traumtic Brain Injury. I sounds a lot worse than what you may think, although this may put him out of the military too. If that
happens than I guess we will have two disabled vets in our family. Any how, back to Jonathan. As you may know he is an EOD specialist.
He is the one that goes out and tries to dismantle the bombs or IED's to keep our soliders safe. Even after taking all of the proper percautions,
the last few explousions caused damage to his eyes, ears, equal liberiam, nerves, and his short term memory. While in Germany the ran several
test but were unsure about what was causing some of his symptoms or how to help him so they sent him back to the states for more testing.
We visit with Jonathan everyday. He says other than mild head aches that come and go, walking with a cane in order to stand or walk, he is
doing okay. As he always says when I asked him how he is doing: 'Well I'm still alive'. Which I reply that I am so thankful that he is. They are
still running tests, xrays, MRI's, spinal taps and all kinds of other test trying to figure out exactly what is going on and what if anything can be done.
