Meg, he and all of you will be in my prayers tonight and tomorrow, and as long as needed.

DD's boyfriend was on standby this past week for knee surgery. When an op is cancelled, they fill in with people on a list. If he hadn't gotten in on Monday, he would have had to wait another 4+ weeks.

Hugs, my dear friend!!

Meg
Your niece and hubby are in my prayers so glad to return the favor. I am praying for the tumor to come back with good clean results and for them to have a long prosperious life together as I type.

Hugs to Meg and your families.

Happy Quilting!

I have always been interested in people who make me laugh!!! You can never have a dull moment with these people. And if you happen to have "one of those moments" then it's okay, they just laugh with you.

Just got word- David was in surgery for most of the day. They had not yet closed at about 5:30, but he seemed to be doing okay. The tomor was in the part of the brain that controls speech and motor skill, I think it is called the Brachea area, so he was awake for part of surgery. They needed to be sure they were not impeding his speech. When the doctor spoke to my niece, he said they are certain that David will have all his motor skill. He seemed to be having some trouble forming complete sentences, but that could be explained by the stress of the situation. DUH!!!!!! Is that the understatment of the month, or what?????? Of course, they will not have the final report on the biopsy for a few days. They felt they got everything, but he will recieve chemo and radiation just to be sure, and speech therapy, if need be.

I am so grateful for all the prayers and good wishes. When I told my mom and my sister that I had prayers coming in for him from all corners of the world they were nearly in tears when they whispered, "Thank you." You ladies, and gents, are the best!
