Good morning ladies! I came home after Day 2 of radiation feeling very tired. The good thing was that I walked in into a practically empty waiting room. Hey Meg, did you swing by and yell at the old lady to shut up? Not only did she shutup, she disappeared altogether! The sun was in my eyes all the way home as I drive due west from there…one of my pet peeves about driving.

I walked into the house and found this strange box from the post office sitting on the floor in the foyer near the lowboy. On close scrutiny, I looked at the sender and it said Jami from Blockcentral. Now what on earth could Jami be sending me? Oh, I get it…some nice ladies decided to send me a whallop of fats…yay!!! I was already ecstatic at the possibility, and very touched at the gesture. But wait, a buncha you already sent me cards in the mail…I even got a quilt postcard that said “Faith” in it. I told myself, these ladies are too much…maybe Jami sent me a teddy bear. This is just the right size for a teddy bear.

I ripped the tape off before I even took my shoes off and hung my coat in the closet. Something pink was peeking through, and a little package with Orvus paste. Hmmmm…what the heck! I was starting to tremble…then there was a little note card…and I started to tear (as I am writing this out at work…Darn!)…DD helped me pull out this beautiful pink creation and she and I started to read, and finger the quilt, and look at the pieces and the quilting…looking for the little pink ribbons as I told DD where each one of you little sly pixies live all over the world, and which one of you little pixies are sick or sicker than I am. I was really overwhelmed by it, by the thought that went into it, by the fact I have never laid eyes on any of you, or given you anything besides cyber hugs and cyber laughter. I know that I will treasure this forever…not sure I’ll really use it since I don’t want to get it dirty and then wash it and fade the writing. Not only will it have a special place in my sewing room, but it will always have a special place in my heart, as all of you will…forever…

I apologize for not having the energy last night to take pictures, but promise it will be on here by the weekend. I thank God for a lot of things He has blessed me with. One of them are friends from Block Central…

And oh yes, waterproof mascara.

BTW, if it isn't already obvious, thank you very much to all!

You'll never know..hehehehe... teamsters?.... CIA?.... swat team?.... special ops?.... divine intervention? We have our ways, Tata! Just glad she wasn't there to annoy you and make a bad situation worse!

tata I am so very pleased you like it I wish we could have bugged it and seen your face ./ These ladies are amazing aren't they I hope you feel the love in every square and every stitch... you would have got it soooner if someone ( redfaced here) hadn't taken so long with her squares

I'm so glad you received it okay! I've been checking the confirmation # everyday to find out where it was. It wasn't until this morning that it told me that it had been delivered. I'm so relieved!
Enjoy it...and when you need an extra hug or twenty, throw it around your shoulders and think of us!

Tata, you better use that quilt! How else will you feel all the love and hugs that are in it? Take it with you to your next treatment and it will keep your mind in a good place.

I am so happy that you got it and I am in agreement with the others on its perfect timing. We all had a great time making each and every block so as they said wrap yourself in it and feel the love and hugs coming your way. It is nice to know it is pretty chereful colors and will brighten every moment of your day as you think, see, feel and wrap up in that beautiful quilt made with so much love from all over the world.
