I'm not sure what I'm asking for here prayers, good thoughts, what?? Someone in my family is going through a personal crisis. I can't say which family member or crisis, just that it is emotionally draining for our family. I wish I could talk about it, wish I could scream it (shakes head). Wish I knew who to talk to, whether to do something or leave it alone. So for now any kind of thoughts/prayers you can send to my family member, thank you. marie

You hang in there, girlfriend! When you feel comfortable to discuss it, we will be here for you- chances are someone has already experienced it. In the meantime, know that you are not alone, we are here any time you need to cry, vent, scream, whatever.

When it gets really bad, go in a closet and scream, a real primordial yell. You will feel better! And then go to your sewing room and stroke some fabric. They have proven that stroking a pet cat has a theraputic value, reduces stress, lowers blood pressure. Although there are no scientific studies, I believe that stroking pet fabric has much the same effect.

It is really hard when something is so overwhelming, it paralyzes your ability to think, as well as all the physical effects, but do try to take some time for yourself. And remember to put it in the Lord's hands.

Understand completely! and you can have any good thoughts and prayers I can come up with!! It is overwhelming when something like this takes over your life..and physically draining. I know it is difficult, but do not forget to take care of you!! you have friends here, lean on them.

Thank you all I can't tell you the comfort just saying anything has brought to me. A few years ago I thought I had heard the worse thing a parent or grand-parent can hear. My grand-daughter was killed in an automoible acccident. When my son called I heard my daughter in the background screaming, hearing her I thought my heart was being ripped out. As bad as this was as a family we came together and helped each other. The other day while visitig my kids up north after a discussion on events with my younger daughter, she looked at me with tears in her eyes and said "mom, my heart is breaking". It is like watching a train coming at you in slow motion, there is nothing anyone can do to stop it as the damage is done. The person who needs to change has had opportunity to do so, but won't.

Marie, I feel for you! Lots of hugs coming your way. Whatever the situation is, there has to be some public forums on it somewhere. Find one and let them help you! It is always a relief when you can talk to someone about it. And you can use another name. Just try to remember that you can't make the decisions for this person and you can't be responsible for what they do.
