Hello, My name is Rebecca & I am so glad to find your forum, a place to chat & share with fellow quilters. I have found quilters to be some of the best people. Supportive, caring, & just plain interesting. I just want to give each one a hug.
I am 2, have a wonderful husband,& two cats named Windor & Warwick. I live in a small Gold Rush town in Northern CA. I've been quilting for about 15 years and love everything about it. Especially the fabric.
I retired from Banking 3 years ago. I didn't like the direction the Bankn was going so decided life was too short to be stressed, so I left and now I am able to spend more time on my passion. My DH is my greatest fan. I think it shows true love when your husband will go with you the fabric store.haha.
I'm working on a quilt for my mother. The pattern is by Maggie Walker, called Country Journal, and has beautiful appliqued chickens. I think she will like it.
Thanks for reading.

Nice to see you jump right into the "Quilt Block Name Game" that Kim started!
I have only been on BC since January but I already feel that I have many old friends here. Everyone is very helpful and friendly.
Should you be interested in joining any swaps, May Happy Blocks is good place to start ... Pat

I was nervous at first, too, and I do not have a good camera around most of the time. Two of my college kids have digital cameras but they are at the dorms. I actually take the photos with my cell-phone usually and send them to email addy to store them on my computer. Then I upload them to a photo site.
It was really easy and I am not the most computer literate.
Then I just post links to the photos.
I was surprised at how I was able to just do some of this stuff.
The Mods are also very helpful with anything like this and they are all very lovely ladies.
I was so happy the month I decided to try my first swap which was March. I even had an amazing bit of beginner luck and was one of the winners of the blocks. It is so much fun having the envelopes of pretty blocks arrive in my mail box for quilters all over the country and even Canada and South Africa.
If you think you want to give it a try, you should just sign-up, get some fabric and start sewing ... Pat
