Welcome Patti, from a displaced Michigander, now a Nutmegger (I think that's what people in Connecticut call themselves - but I don't know why) I am pretty new to quilting too, and this group of gals (and guys) are fabulous. They are always willing to help and have loads of good tips and advice. Unlike Cindy, I will not invite you to refill your tea. How 'bout a glass of wine? Hey you guys, maybe that's why I'm having so much trouble with that new block Lizzie

Jacqui, when I read your welcome post, I got the strangest urge to come and feel your forehead!! I was sure you were running a fever! You're one of the wackiest, and sweetest gals here. Miss Hazel, you're another! Patti, welcome from Spruce Grove, Alberta (10 minutes west of Edmonton) !! It's so nice to have another Canadian lady on here!:0 I sewed clothes most of my life too, even for my granddaughters when they were little (they are 6 1/2 and 5 now), and got interested in quilting about 20 years ago, but didn't make my first one until the early 90s. I'm not on here as much lately, hubby and I are building our own house - what fun! Just like making quilts!! Though he looked at me funny when I said that! It's going slower than we had hoped, but do hope to get in (unfinished) in November at the latest. so I am on now and then, but I do miss being here like I used to. Oh, well, you will have fun here, and learn lots. PS I am also known as Marian the Librarian - that name was bestowed on me by Meg! Gerda
A day hemmed in prayer seldom unravels. Keep looking UP! When it seems there is no way out, there is always a way up!
