LOL Mandy!!! welcome from central Alberta, Canada!! where at the moment we have a Chinook!! Oh, and I have a son and a daughter, and two sweet granddaughters. I spend most of my spare time (when we're not building our house) in my computer/sewing/guest room! Hubby knows where to find me, he's glad I have something I like to do. I do join him in the livingroom when there's something decent on TV (which there is not a lot of! ) Man, oh man, between the Michigan group, the Oklahoma group and Texas, it's beginning to look like y'all could set up retreats for your own states!!! Now if only I wasn't so far away!! As for the labradors - hubby and I are undecided whether to get a lab or a German shepherd pup when we finally move into our acreage. We LOVE big dogs - are your golden or chocolate labs?? Please join in on the fun and games etc here, and we love pictures! Fire away with any questions you may have - keep in mind the ONLY dumb question is the ONE NOT ASKED Gerda
A day hemmed in prayer seldom unravels. Keep looking UP! When it seems there is no way out, there is always a way up!

Gerda, don't forget the Canadian group, although admittedly you are a bit spread out! And when we have a Michigan retreat, you are coming, even if I have to drive all the way to Alberta and pick you up! We have claimed you as one of our own! Roseville isn't too far away. I am just down I-94 in Southgate. We used to have a yellow lab/golden mix. He was the runt of the litter and weighed 105 lbs. We lost him several years ago. We also had an Australian Shepherd who so sweet and devoted, we had him put down when an inoperable tumor on his spine made it impossible for him to walk. My DH, the boys, the two cats, and I grieved a long time. Now we have a very spoiled rescued dalmatian. The cats have made him one of their own; whenever they can get away with it, they groom him. He doesn't like it, but he is too polite to growl or walk away.
