Welcome Deb, from one of your Michigan neighbors! I have to ask: are you a Leafs fan? I know we have at least one Oilers fan in Alberta. We have quite a contingent from Michigan, and the majority are Wings fans. LOL We keep it friendly though.

There are many friendly and helpful ladies, and a few gents, and lots to do, so jump right in!

What a perfect welcome thanks ladies (gents?) for making me feel right at home..

Until I get used to how too's on this forum I will post my blog so that you can see some of what I have done...

Michiganeers.. I was born and raised in Windor and then on Lake St Clair.. there are many Michigan friends who have cottages near our home so yes Michigan is like a second home to me. Glad to see that quilting is so strong every where.

I love to hand quilt have tried many, many times to machine but always end up hand quilting..again. I have seen another method that might help me with my machine quilting so I will try again...perserverance.

I love all aspects of quilting...I machine/hand piece.. I machine hand/applique. I also teach at the surrounding stores in our neighbourhood the stack and whack technique/one block wonder/ and four patch posie... I love to learn as much as teach and each time I learn more.

I have the honour of teaching at our Creative Festival this fall which will be Oct 17 and am very excited about that..I was recommended by my quilt guild York Heritage...(I also belong to 2 others)

Well I don't want your eyes to get tired..again thanks for your warm welcomes you are all very charming.

Wow, wish I could get into hand-quilting but alas my machine would get jealous!

Hope you join us in our swaps and challenges! Just make yourself at home and you'll fit right in.

Eek OH MY GOODNESS! I am sooooo excited!!! Yippee! Welcome Deb! I love the OBW quilts! I have 3 fabrics ready for cutting now, just as soon as my strip quilt is done! It is so addictive, I'm constantly looking at fabrics and wondering if it will work. I have made one crib size that came out wonderful, one tree skirt that is being quilted now. And then there is one failure. But I bought fabric on the internet and the pattern was too small to work with. I still have the blocks and they are pretty, but just not for this type of project. I fear they will be a UFO for many years to come.

Oh dear, I'm rambling, we will have to start a new thread discussion later on for this subject. But I'm just so excited to have you here!!! Yippee! Yippee! Yippee! Welcome, welcome!
