Welcome, folks!!!I am up in central Alberta, Canada, and love flowers as much as quilting!! My hubby and I have been, literally, building our new home, so the yard is all clay at the moment, under the snow! I've been thinking all year of what and where I'm going to plant stuff - lots of bulbs this time around, and perennials. I love annuals for the almost nonstop colour and for hanging baskets and such. I loved the pics you all posted. Thanks so much!!! A welcome sight indeed in this long winter. Up here we have 6 months of snow and winter, and the other 3 seasons get stuffed into 6 months. BUT we don't get earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, and tornadoes are rare. I'll take this anytime!
I sure hope to see more of you quilt lovers become quilt makers - Krisi, look on E-bay for a manual, if your local dealer can't get you one. My DH spent lots of time looking for manuals for his Toyota skidsteer - the previous owner didn't have one - DH found them in Australia! You could also try leather thimbles on your fingers to prevent the ouchies!

Hey 2MC.. Good to see you moving around a bit. You forget to mention...you are a knitter royalle! We may call you "spider-woman", but you're off the hook on the Wilma Flinstone title. That's a traveling award...lolol After all....you did finally get in here. I'm thinking perhaps Linda's link might be what foiled MM too?
Jami Thanks for the welcome! Rut-Roh! If the name changes with the # of post you have... I will be the "Queen of BS" very soon I'm sure...hehe At our old boards I quit counting when I broke 4000 posts..lolol *blushing* Ooooo turf management? Awesome! I love a beautiful lawn! Sooo...what's the big secret for getting rid of GOPHERS once and for all!? Any great suggestions? They are digging little monsters in this country, and take out many nice lawns.
Krisi.. Honey Lovie? Could you do old DB a favor? In your edit area of your profile...would you pleaseeeee put your old NHGC club name under your new sign on? Honestly...where your location isn't showing... I wasn't sure this was even you! I tracked ya back through your posts just to make sure. Duh...it's the menopause thing...lol...and the fact that we have lots of new people in here.
I sent MM ONE MORE tip on getting in here. I hope it's just not a setting on his computer. We sure miss him!

Gerda.. Hello! We posted at the same time! Yes...there is something to be said for not having to live with natural disasters all the time! We occasionally have earthquakes here, but as a rule we avoid a majority of the really bad weather. High winds can kick us a round a bit. Your husband's "skidsteer"? Is that something to do with rodeo...and/or team roping? Just wondering...lol
Bear... YOU KNEW WHAT??????????????? hehe We broke on different pages... so I didn't see you...lol
Back to chores...

LOL Yes I'm a better sower than a sewer. Like Linda said, I'm doing good if my buttons stay on. I think I going to braid the rug. Most of the denim isn't to thick since the overhauls & pants were old. DB thats a great idea about taking a class. I never thought of that. I may do that when James starts school.
