If you're reading this...then you FOUND ME!! I told you I would do this! We can now locate each other in here, but I highly recommend you all ck out this great site! Talk about a quilters heaven!...lol
I'm also emailing a few quilting friends the same address. I think this place is going to be FUN!!!
For anyone who's already a member of BlockCentral.com please let me explain. My thread topic is not just for displaced NHGC quilters who have lost their board. It's just a new meeting place for my friends who love to quilt and share what they are learning. I hope in time we alllll ck out this great club and become super active members.

NHGC member for several years, and quilting for almost 8 years. I've taught a few beginner classes and love to help newbies learn "tricks". The best part is seeing their faces when the "ahhhh" moment strikes!
Love to exchange tips, tricks and photos with other quilters.
Carole and Jeb welcome to BC. There are a great bunch of quilters here. They are all very helpful and full of fun so tell us a little about yourselves so we can know you better.

Thanks for the warm welcome! There are no strangers among quilters... only friends you haven't swapped fat quarters with yet...lolol
Jeb!!! You made it! So HAPPY to see you! The new sewing room is going very well! When you’re ready for your AV’s I cut just let me know. I’ve been here since early talking a few people through the registration process! I guess they are spring cleaning in here March 10th so we are going to hold off posting photos etc until March 11th...lol
My bio- I’ve spent my life working in vet medicine and/or the human medical field. Right now I work for a cancer center as a patient navigator. I’ve been quilting for almost 2 years, but I’ve been a “closet quilter” my whole life and didn’t know it. I was diagnosed by a local quilter a few years ago...lol . I’ve been collecting fabric since I was in high school (and I’m 56 now!!!). I’d pet it...and love it...and neatly fold it back up to be treasured for years....but I didn’t sew it. Growing up my mother had a sewing machine that was the antichrist personified!!! That wretched machine ate more fabric then it EVER actually sewed! So... I didn’t sew until I was in my late 20’s when I bought a little Kenmore.
Now... I have a full library of quilt books... watch/tape every quilt show possible... and we just gutted our guest room and turned it into a sewing/quilting room! My hub was supportive because he was excited to get the kitchen table back...lol
Off for now! Jeb ck out alllllllllll the little nooks and crannies in this site! It’s loaded with wonderful things!!
Back to doing something productive. .
Hugs....and poof*

Hello DB, I've start a rag rug project. My first one. My Mom gave me a ton of Dad's old overhauls and I was saving a few olds pants. So I decided do a rag rug. Hopefully it will distract me from my garden. LOL I've been cutting and measuring all day. I have one, glitch. I'm not a great sower and I don't have a sowing machine. LOL I'll cross that brigde when the time comes.

I bet you are a wonderful sower. Around here, we call a sowing machine a plow! LOL I can tell where you want to be in a bad way! In the garden, right? Talk about a Freudian slip! LOL Did you mean a sewing machine? How are you making the rug? Weaving? Braiding? I love rag rugs; I have some beautiful ones that came from my husband's nagymama (that's grandmother in Hungarian)
