Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! I get to be the first to welcome you, a warm welcome from bitterly cold Michigan. Do your girls quilt, too? It's not too late to get them started.

Archermom, Welcome to BC!

I have been a member only about a month, but I already feel that I have many good friends and I have learned a lot from all of the more experienced quilters here.

How nice that your daughter is already a quilter. Perhaps your step-daughter will decide someday to do so, too.

I have a DD who is 20 and she has shown some interest in learning. She has made a quilted bag which she uses all the time and for which she has received many compliments. I think she would do more but her class and work and sports schedule does not leave her much free time. We do like to visit quilt shops together. Last December she selected fabric for a seasonal wall quilt and she made a start on it before Christmas but did not finish it. So she has her first UFO, too.

Last summer we went to a large multi-day quilt show on a Saturday. For one fee, you could re-enter any day of the show. The next morning she surprised me by saying that she wanted to go back and one of her friends came with us. Her friend bought a bag pattern and fabric and we had a quilt fest when we got home. Both of them made the quilted bags.

Happy Quilting! Smile Pat

I have always been interested in people who make me laugh!!! You can never have a dull moment with these people. And if you happen to have "one of those moments" then it's okay, they just laugh with you.
