Im a military wife and mom of a new kindergartener, and 2.5 yr old. Both grandmas taught me to sew. I've been doing digital scrapbooking for 4 years, and have just come back to my machine as a means of saving money for my family (clothing, mending) an art (quilting) Looking forward to learnin more and doing more now that we llive in a sate where it snows!!

Another warm Michigan welcome from another of the Great Lakes States gals! I am a military mom and almost an empty-nestor! Sounds like we are flip sides of the same coin! LOL

Pennylayne ... love your name!

to BC! Confetti

May you make many quilts and many frends here. Smile

I read in your thread about the football quilt you want to make for your DH while he is deployed ... wish I could be more help ... it is not a theme I have done before. Sounds like a really good idea for a masculine quilt. I am sure a quilt made by you would be such a comfort to him when he is far from home. I am also sure you and your family will miss him greatly. I thank him for his service and you for the sacrifices you make in order for him to serve and pray that he and all in his unit will return safely home to their loved ones.
