Welcome Gerda! I think you will enjoy the site. We love it when new quilters find us. Don't worry, your english is actually pretty good and it can only help to be a part of this forum!
I knew several folks from The Netherlands while I was still working... mostly academics from Wageningen. (Not sure I spelled that right.) Anyway, they were some of the nicest people I met in Agriculture.
Jump right in. I am sure you will find the BC community welcoming and friendly!
I was so pleased to get such a warm welcome. I will join the forum with pleasure.
About myself ? I'm 38 years old and live in Amsterdam. In daily life i earn a living as a social worker, but sewing is my passion. A few weeks ago i made a babyquilt, very easy , very simple, but it made me realize that quilting may be even a bigger passion than just sewing clothes every season. I browsed around the world on the internet and found a lot of excellent pages to learn from. But a forum is even nicer, because it makes you able to connect with people even closer. In holland quilting is booming at the moment, still is not yet at the level you reach in the USA or UK. I hope to show you as soon as possible some pics of my creations.
