I'm Melissa I'm from Florida but stationed here in Biloxi MS
I always wanted to learn how to quilt but never went beyond wishing I knew how. But now I have gone out and bought a sewing maching (a Brother something)and a TON of fabric (must be prepared) and one quilt top i think.... its not finished and its awfully uneven but i love it n wont rip out any seems on that one, cause its my first. Jumped right in both feet first and love it.
Well I just wanted to say hello!!!!

They is no known cure, the only reasonable treatment is shopping therapy! And let me warn you, this ain't no 12-step program; I'm afraid you have cast your lot with a band of thieves! LOL Or maybe enablers, as we are all good at justifying our purchases, too! LOL You are going to fit in perfectly here, dear, welcome!

Then once you have all that fabric you can't bring yourself to cut into it, because what if you find a better project for it or maybe its just to beautiful to cut!
Welcome!

to BC, Melissa!!

I have an older Brother that my DH bought me a few years back ... basic machine but it has enough quilting attachments that I am learning a lot with it. After having made baby quilts for my kiddos over 20 years ago, I did not try quilting again until about three years or so ago ... now it is my favorite thing to do ... well ... except maybe reading.

Have fun and join right in ... everyone is very friendly and helpful here ...

Welcome, Melissa!! I'm up in Canada, as you can see! I try not to buy too much fabric, 'cause my hubby says "but you already have so much!" and I figure I'd best use some of it up. But oh, it is so hard when one has access to so many quilt shops! Three within a few minutes of each other, about 1/2 hour away.

Jump into a swap, fire away with questions, etc. It's a wonderful bunch of ladies (and Patrick) here.
