Nanawing -- I'm glad that we're going to be neighbors! I don't live all that far from Kuna myself. It's just a few minutes down the road, there's even a cute little quilt shop there. =) I'm sure you're excited to live near your kids and grandchildren. I'm happy for you!

Felicia -- I used to live off of Linder near Deer Flat. Now I live out off of Colombia! Yes, the quilt shop has a website, I'll search for it later and let you know. The name of the shop is "Knit One, Quilt Too." Kuna is really growing, there are all sorts of restaurants, banks, even a spa! =)

Jennifer,

My name is Vicky. I live about 7 miles from Twin Falls in Kimberly. Welcome to BC. I have family in Boise and I like to shop up there. I love quilting and get some sewing in everyday.

Hello all you Idaho girls! I had no idea it got that cold or that hot there! My cousins live in Nordman, is that near any of you? They had bears break in their back door a few months ago. I'll stay in my safe wet England thank you.

Hope Spring has sprung where you all are. I envy you your close quilt shop.

Welcome to the forum Jennifer from a former CA/NC resident now living in wet and wonderful England.
Cheers
KimUK

Hi KimUK! I'm so jealous of your cousins in Nordman... I got to visit up in that area for my honeymoon and it is absolutely amazing up there. =) What took you to England? I've always wanted to visit over there.

My my...there are quite a few little Idahoans, and ID transplants popping up in here ..lol

I lived in No. & So. ID for quite a few years wayyy back when, and have NO CLUE where Normand, ID is (or you talking about Endland)…lol? We had bears, cougars, bobcats, elk, deer and moose in the surrounding areas of Lewiston, ID.

My oldest sister lives just out of Coeur d’Alene and she heard this ruckus on her back porch one morning. She got up pulled open the door and there was a big black bear digging through her freezer!!! What she heard was it ripping the screen door off her porch! She was horrified AND MAD at the same time. That intruder was pulling out the blackberries she had just frozen earlier in the week She ran and got her pistol ( a .38) and shot it out the window a couple times to scare it off! The pistol noise scared it off, but it did make off with one bag of berries. Due to it’s sharp claws it just ruined most of her efforts, and she had to reseal everything the bear clawed at. She left her “trophy” screen door on display for a long time. Man…that bear just RIIIIIIIIIPPED IT OFF! lol

I sometimes miss all the beauty of ID, but WA has it own beauty. Idaho with its mountains and gorgeous high mountain lakes, and WA… soooo green…and the ever changing ocean scenery! All beautiful!
