my name is kristi i'm 24 years old been quiliting for 10 years now i hoard fabric like a pack rat
other interesting facts :3
i'm an artist, have been drawing for 14 years now, my style is more toawrds japanesse animation i love making my own paterns i curently live in a pile of fabric that i constanly am cleaning up but it never subsides cause it's everywhere T_T *searches for her carpet*
current projects 5 quilts to finish cutting out 6 quilts to finish tacking down 5 quilits to finish embroidering
most of the ones to cut out and tack down aren't mine XD but the ones to embroider are mine but get put on the back burner cause my mom and grandmother want to start on theirs cause i'm the only person who will tack the peices down XD
lol i figure that's all to know about me XD now to go back to work on meh pattern :3
At 24 you are almost half my age but have almost twice the experience I have when it comes to quilting. I have a son who is 24 and one who is 22, but they do not quilt. They enjoy the quilts I made for them, though. I am just starting to make a second quilt, a large lonestar one, for my younger son, now. My daughter, who is 20, enjoyes nesting in the quilts I've made for her, too, and she has started doing a little quilting on her own, though.
I loved the Sunbonnet Sue quilt you posted on the other thread. It is just adorable.
Your Mom and Grandma are lucky to have your help with their quilts.
I look forward to seeing more of your patterns,
<3 Pat

Kristi...do you have a gaming background by any chance? From the way you type, just sounds like it...I'm a former gamer, but I gave it up a few years back.
I'd love to see some more of your designs, as you are bringing a definite young and different edge to them if you are incorporating anime. I bet kids would love your designs!
I was the youngest quilter I knew for a long time, so I'm really thankful to see that more younger people are getting interested in it once again. (I'm 33)
Welcome aboard, and let us know when you get the chance to show off some of your skills!
thankyou for the welcome !!Pat, Carole, Betty, Mary and Meg ^_^
pat, yea, i had to put all my fabric in the dresser drawers becuase i couldn't get to my door XD, yea, i can take my stuff to work and do alot of tacking down there, and now i've got people lining up to take the finished quilts from me XD and thanks again ^____^
betty, thanks! ^_^ lol, yea, i think i will too ^____^ and they better, i usually get the bad end of the stick, but the best part about this end is that i can usually talk my mom in to buying me more fabric to hoard becuase i "need" it to finish a project >3
mary, south africa, thanks for welomcing me ^_^ yea, during my summmers off from school, i'd vstay with my grandmother. and once a month tshe would go to her sisters house and they would work on a quilt. so i'd help cause i always liked to listen to them talk and would rather help than run off and play by myself ^_^ from then i was hooked and demanded to go every time ^_^

XD yes actually, my major right now is in graphic design and 3d modeling, but as for mas multiplayer games, not so much, i have dial up and live 20 miles from a gas station. lol but i do love the rpgs :3 also, ^_^ and i have, my aunt sent a picture of a geisha for me to enlarge, but the deign was horible and unworkable. so i did a couple and managed to come up with 3 of my own geisha designs, on;y have one down on fabric though
and this one is big, but it's for a friend who liked the original drawing Sara-Waiting for Rain
