We are glad you are here, Carol!

If you want to join any of the swaps just check them out and when you are ready just jump right in. I was hestitant at first, but I am glad I did. I won the Happy Blocks my first time around and now I am helping to host the swap for May. It is such fun making these blocks and sending and receiving them. Smile

I have never done any sewing with wool although one of the shops near me has such nice patterns and selection of fabric that I am thinking I will give it a try sometime. I love to learn new things. I have so many projects in the works though ... !

Maybe your question would get a better response in the "Tips and Techniques" section Confused

There is so much to explore and learn on these boards. Have fun, Smile Pat

Hi Sherren, sorry your forum closed (you are the second one to show up), but we are so happy to have you here. And may I say thank you for Hockey Night in Canada (SE MI can pick up the Windsor channel)! LOL Without it many Red Wing fans like me who do not have Versus would not have seen the first two games of the Cup finals. We have a strong contingent of hockey fans from Michigan on here.

There is much to do, please poke around and feel free to ask if you have any questions. These ladies, and gents, are some of the most thoughtful and generous folks around.

Sherren, it's lovely to have you join us here at BC! Look around and get acquainted! We have lots of swaps and projects that you can join, don't be shy just jump right it.

Check out the Block Party Surprise Thread! It's were we sign-up to join and each month someone chooses a main block and an alternative block. We all make the one of them and post a photo of one in the Album that is set up. We keep the blocks for ourselves so that we can add to our list of quilts to get finished. lol

Happy to have you here!

Hello everyone. I am new to this site. The welcome has been nice. Friendly and helpful quilters. Been quilting for about 15 years. When I retired I took one class and was hooked. I machine piece and also machine small project with machine, but my passion is hand quilting. I quilt with a frame in my lap. It does have a base that makes it hands free and can be swiveled and tipped.

Has anyone tried the new bambo batting that I have been hearing about? Would love to feel it and see if it is soft like cotton.

Hi, Sherren and to BC!

I have been quilting for about 3 years now since our children started leaving the nest. I made baby quilts for them over twenty years ago without a clue as to how to go about it. When I got back to it, I taught myself through books and the internet, also. I am taking my first ever BOM class to learn hand-stitching and quilting. I call myself and "experienced beginner" and will do so for a very long time, yet ... there is so much to learn!

BC is a great place to find many wonderful ideas, patterns, and tips ... and friends Smile

May you have fun and make many friends here, too,

Pat
