Hello, Everyone ...

When the new Happy Block Theme was announced I decided to do some online research about 30's Reproduction fabrics and went to this shop which I know has it's own 30's fabric line.

I was surprised to find they are holding a
GOOBER Sale ... "Going Out of Business Early Retirement Sale."

They have lots of other types of fabrics and books, too.

Thanks for the heads up on the goober sale. I agree with you that this is a nice shop. I've ordered from them before. In fact I did the 2007 block party & got a packet from them.

Oh Pat it must be the time for closings. Alexandria didn't have much of a quilt shop until 3 years ago when Priscilla's opened, now she's having to close a very successful business to take care of her Mom! I hate to see it go, we have one here in Tioga but I's limited!

The small quilt shop in California where my summer home used to be closed a couple years ago.

And two shops have closed here in the Dallas area within the last year.

WHAT IS HAPPENING?

Well at least we know Walmart isn't running them out of business, since most of the Walmarts in the larger cities no longer carry fabric.

All of the closest Walmarts to me (two of which are "Superstores") have already eliminated or are discontinuing the cut fabric department ... one less reason for me to shop at Walmart ...
