I have that one, Dorian! Yippee! It's EXCELLENT!!

I also have "Pieced Borders: the Complete Resource" by Judy Martin and Marsha McCloskey; "Borders, Binding, and Edges:The Art of Finishing Your Quilt" by Sally Collins; and"Sensational Settings" by Joan Hanson. These are all super books.

My two favorite quilt books (so far) are:

Quilters Complete Guide by Fons and Porter ISBN 0-8487-1099-1. I got this book when I first started quilting and still use it regularly, its a great reference book.

Patchwork Souvenirs of the 1933 Worlds Fair by Merkay Waldvogel and Barbara Brackman. ISBN 1-55853-257-9. If you like quilt history this is a great book. It has great pictures and wonderful stories behind some of them. Some of the quilts are absolutely amazing.

I was going to say something about the Fons and Porter one too Colleen. It was one of the first quilt books I bought and I refer back to it often. I like how you learn a new skill, by making a specific block.

I have always been interested in people who make me laugh!!! You can never have a dull moment with these people. And if you happen to have "one of those moments" then it's okay, they just laugh with you.

If you want to move this to page 1 that will work for me or leave it here...If you move it it wont give me space to update it but I can at a later date and you move it to the front with the rest of the reviews...what do you think?

My thoughts and reasons for posting them all together was I was going to post a book title but going through the list I found that it had already been posted. This way we can do a quick glance and see if a book has been reviewed and where to find the review.

or perhaps the "quick find list" could be placed in a separate thread and then debo you could revise it whenever it was necessary. i am sure that betty could hammer that thread in place close to this thread where we actually share the books. just a thought . . .

I can do that from here it don't need a separate thread, just an index to page one or left here will be fine by me. I am not out looking for work or to make more work just did the list for me and posted it here for everyone to benefit from too.

Cindy
thanks for the idea I will just pass it to Betty when we get a long list again.
