Oh I love SnW and the books are a must have to be able to sew them. I made a tape of Bethany doing it when it was on the TV Simply Quilts show and tried to figure out how to do it from that, but that didn't work. I got the book from the library and had it for only 3 weeks but I needed more time than that so bought the book. I look at it everytime I start another SnW quilt. I also have Stack and Wackier. I'm sure you'll love the book, Jacquie and be glad you have it.

Calling all LongArm Quilters and wantabe LongArm Quilters. Just wanted to give the heads-up.

Wanted to mentioned this book. It is brand new and it has not come out as of yet. Not until July 2007 according to Barnes and Nobles. It is called "ABCs of LongArm Quilting by Patricia Barry.

Me too, Betty. I think my DH wants to get me one. Just don't have the room and with moving still in our fortune. Makes no sense anyway. I think he wants to see what I made finished.(And secretly,I think, he hopes that it will support my habit if I could make it into a business) LOL

While in the UK, I bought two great books:

1. Quilting-on-the-Go by Carolyn Forster : gives good clear instructions on the quilting on the go method plus nice quilt projects. ISBN 10:0 9553499 1 5 (Teamwork Craftsbooks).

2. The Experts' Guide to Foundation Piecing by Jane Hall : 15 techniques (I didn't know there were so many Smile) and projects. The experts include Carol Doak, Cynthia England and Ruth McDowell. ISBN 978-1-57120-362-5

I bought both books for our guild library but I must confess that I'm sorely tempted to keep them for myself and reorder via Amazon Smile

Mary, I'm jotted both those titles down. I just might have to have the Quilting-on-the-Go one for sure!

Thanks for sharing with us!

Hi Mary

Did you enjoy your stay in the UK - I was waiting for your call but you were obviously having such a fab time with your family that you did not need my company (only joking) Seriously, I hope that you had a great time.
