Good Morning ...
No progress on the sewing machine ... it is running, but not the way it should ... I have to find a good place and time to bring it somewhere to be worked on ... Jacqui ... I have one of those feet for curved seams ... bought it last year at a quilt show after watching the impressive demonstration ... I still have not used it much so I cannot offer any words of wisdom ... of course, I do seem to avoid curved seams ... Jenell .. I have not turned on the Olympics once ... just do not think to turn on the TV ... I have read some of the stories in the news, especially about the swimmer ... Well ... I must get moving here ... be back later ... May you all have a lovely quilty day, |

Good morning Ladies,
Going to be even hotter today, so we are going to drive down to Chico (an hour's drive) in the air conditioned van and visit some airconditioned stores! LOL Jenell, Carson is my little man, my son, he is going to be 4 on Monday. So we have birthday shopping to do today But we weren't able to sit down at it yesterday, so he still hasn't seen your smilies. lol Speaking of, I love your sun smilie this morning Pat. It's so cute. Yah Jacqui, I'm so glad you got your foot. Have fun with it! I haven't watched any of the olympics either. All I usually watch is gymnastics in the summer and ice skating in the winter. But I am just not that interested in it this year. Take care all, have a great day. Dorian |

Hello Everyone,
Seems like I haven't been posting for a long time which I know isn't true. Been trying to get caught up on housework. And also been sewing. I have one quilt top finished and there is a possibility I will get another done today.Seems so much easier to finish tops than to have a completed quilt. Couple of nights ago, we had no electricity because of the storm that came through. But we had a lot of lightening up in the sky. The same with last night too. (Thunderstorms still makes me nervous.) Woo Hooooo! We are back!
Our girls took gold and silver in the gymnastics last night! I was so happy for them. Dorian, I will gather them up and send you a pm. Skyler amazed us at how fast she was able to use the mouse and play the games. We finally just bookmarked a spot for her to find her favorites and she didn't even need help getting to them. Trina, can't wait to see what you have done! Hurry up with those pictures! Jacqui? Are you doing okay sweetie? I just ordered some pantographs for my quilter. She didn't have any holiday patterns and I wanted something Christmasy on my tree skirt. ![]() Jenell (aka) Miss Cashew O'Nutt http://www.myquiltblog.com/billswife/ http://www.serialquilters.com/afroginthequilt/ |

Hi,
back again. Won't make any promises about posting pictures. Still a concept I haven't grasp yet. The top I am working on is a Christmas wallhanging that I started about year and a half ago. This quilt top could work for the 4th of July because of the colors I picked for it. Reminds me of a cross stitch that I made several years ago. The pastor and his wife came to visit me. When they visited, that is when I realized what I was cross stitching. The cross stitch was of a man who had just had a serious talk with his boss. And you can see that his backside had been chewed on. The light does come on at the weirdest times. I didn't realize that the quilt top was Americana in color. LOL. |

Retuned from France this evening as I have a cnsultants appointment next Tuesday and then all being well returning to France on Wednesday for 4-5 weeks. Whilst I was there I was able to do a little sewing each day and made 2 kingsize quilts, a wall hanging and 6 cushions.
The first quilt is a Disappearing Nine Patch and piccie is below Milica Copy_of_France_Summer_2008_148.jpg (45 Kb, 27 downloads) |

Good morning Ladies,
Well, I over did it yesterday, all that shopping. But we had a good time and now Carson is all set. I will make his cake tomorrow. He loves dinosaurs, so has asked for a dinosaur cake. We'll see what I can do... Jenell, great, thanks so much! Carson can work his way around the computer pretty good too. He knows how to get to a few programs all by himself. And he knows how to play certain games all by himself. It's neat to watch someone so young, navigate a computer. HI Milica!! Glad you're back home for a few days. How is your leg doing? Are you having a blast in France? I love your 9-patch, that is sooo cute and colorful! Your batik one is lovely too. Have a great day all Dorian |
