Hi, Pammy ... fumes gone now, too, I hope ...

Funny you say that. I just got back from Lowes and there is a really bad smell. I think its coming from the men working on our roof... putting down some type of tar.. go figure i cant get alway from the smell..

Pammy! We are going to have to get you a gas mask!

Pat, thank you for all the suggestions for our niece, I didn't even think of half of those. Although I am hoping she takes an interest in my quilting, more because I don't want to have to put it away for 10 days!!! She really is a very nice young lady and I'm sure I will be missing her when she leaves. I'm just not used to teenage girls hanging out with me.

Still raining here but it's supposed to stop Thursday or Friday. Everything is just so saturated. I got a bit of sewing done last night between cleaning bathrooms. lol I'm hoping to finish up my half squares tonight so I can start sewing them together to lay out in rows. Oh it sounds like I'm getting closer and closer to getting this one done!

Pammy ... I do not know how you can stand all the fumes during this construction ... I would be gagging ... especially the tar ... everytime they are paving anywhere near me I have to shut windows ...

Jenell ... I am sure you will miss her when she goes home ... you are really getting some serious sewing done there ...

I am getting no sewing done. It is official ... my machine is going into a repair shop ... and the local guy I finally found who was willing to look at it did not inspire confidence ... he spent most of the converstaion trying to get off the phone ... and all I was asking for was hours he was open and directions to his shop ...

Pammy you poor thing. Tar smell is so nasty. Get a big bunch of flowers to sit next to you Not only will they smell good, but look nice too.

Janell, I know you will have fun with your niece. Perhaps you can interest her in quilting with you. Like Pat said, teenage girls like to shop. You could go shopping for fabric & kill two birds with one stone They also like to play with nail polish. You could paint each others nails & toes & call it beauty day.

Pat, oh darling, so sorry your sewing machine is sick. Hope the machine doctor can fix it up fast & get it to purring. I know I go through withdrawals if I can't sew.

I've been busy the last two days sewing triangles This quilt is going to be so pretty if I say so myself. Wed. Gregg took off work so we can go down & see my Mom & Pop. I'm so glad he will drive because it's such a long trip by one's self.

Rebecca ... I have pulled out my hand-piecing ... good time to get caught up on this ... I have been saying I wanted to do more of this ... and I do find it relaxing ...
