Work is good.. Things are finally coming to an end. Most of the contractors are gone..We did our walk through yesterday so hopefully everything will wrap up next week...and then there is the big move from North Carolina & Bend, Or. That takes place Sept. 4-7th..

Good evening everyone! My goodness it was slow in here today. But the garden club sure made up for it! If any of you have the time it is well worth the reading for Ned's quilt surprise. I think I'm going to have to go over there and introduce myself.

The visit with Jeri is going well so far. She has taken to Skyler and Shirrie and they won't let her out of their site. I knew they would love her. We rented chick flicks tonight and are going shopping all day Saturday. I keep thinking hubby will jump in and help me out but he is just as clueless as I am. It would help if we didn't have to work, I am sure she is already tired of going with us.

I did finish all the triangles for my blocks. Got them all trimmed up and layed out to look at and I'm 4 blocks short!!! Oh maaaaan! I didn't want to have to look at brown strips again for a very long time! So back to work. I don't know if I will even atempt it this weekend. I tried and tried to make 76 work and it's just not happening. lol

Pat, I don't like the motorcycles with the young guys either. Probably because of my nephew and all of his experiences. It was sad that his mother and I were both relieved when he left for Iraq because he wouldn't get to ride it anymore for a while. He should be home in about 6 or 7 weeks so here we go again. It still isn't fixed from his mishap just before he deployed so we won't have to worry right away when he comes home. He has gotten himself engaged while he was away. The little lady drives a tank, no less! Maybe she can drive him around in that. So I guess that puts another quilt on the list. He wants one just like the brown one but in black. Talk about out of the fire and into the frying pan! This brown one is about to blind me already!

Glad things are getting settled for you Pammy. I hate chaos around me. Not that I'm a neat freak, I just like to know which area to look in when I need something.

Well I better get off to bed. It's late and I should be in bed!

Well ladies I should be around al little more now, my breathing is a little better and it doesn't hurt so much to sit Unfortunately I had a very silly accident yesterday!! I have a large packing box near the door connecting the hall and the dining room ( read tiny hutch lol) and I kicked the corner with my ickle toe it went off at right angles and it HURT!! now it is full of colours like black ( JEnell your new quilt lol) purple and raspberry . sheesh am I stupid or what. Well it is broked now lol Of course I wasn't wearing any shoes or anything ...... its official I am a doofus

Thought I'd pop in and say hello.

Pat, don't worry about your boy and his motorcycle...and least not too much. LOL. Because that will just cause undo stress. I hope he is a good driver. My dh can't wait to get his bike, he is getting an on/off road one, so that he can ride on the paved roads, but also take the kids dirt biking. As the two boys are getting dirt bikes also and Rachael is getting a go-cart. Sigh~ Enough to make lots more gray hairs, for sure!

Pam, you are moving to Bend, OR? Is that right? I used to live there, many moons ago. Went to my first two years of HS there. It's a MUCH bigger city now.

Jenell, I'm glad your neice and the kids are getting along well. I'm sure she is fine, you don't have to entertain kids ALL the time. I'm sorry you were short with your blocks. Grrr.

Jacqui, young Lady, if you continue to call yours names, I may have to come over there and knock some sense into your head. Silly Goose!! I don't know how many times I kick something with my toes. It's just one of those things us with shoe-phobia has to deal with Hope it heals soon hun. I'm glad it's easier for you to be sitting and you are breathing better. My prayers are with you.

Good Morning all my quilt buds ...sorry I have been MIA lately...busy crafting a scrap book and the continued mission of organizing some closets-ya know when you move u just want to get everything out of boxs and whatever you don't know what to do with just shoved here and there, well since my washer & dryer arrive next tuesday it was time to clean out the laundry rm that I have been using for storage..lol and since I have gotton serious about my scrap booking [actually thinking of becoming a consultant] I needed to set up a area just for scrap booking and I love it all organized.I bite the bullet and bought a cricut machine for scrap booking-anyone have one? I haven't had a chance to play yet as it just arrived yesterday.
Also still working on quilts for newset great grand daughter. and the never ending chore of keeping weeds out of my yd takes up my precious time.
Oh Pat I will say prayers for both your sons new toy and his safety and your machine repair bill.

No i'm not moving. I'm already in the Atlanta area. we are moving our two companys from North Carolina and Bend, Or to Atlanta.

Oh my goodness! She wore me out today with shopping! She bought her entire wardrobe for school today!!! Actually, I was pretty proud of her because she had a budget and stuck with it. Oh and this little lady wears a size ZERO! I never thought that that was a real size!

Jacqui, I'm with you, it would have been scary movies for me too. But she did get a couple of winners. 27 Dresses was pretty cute. What Happens In Vegas lost me somewhere in the middle. But the PS I Love you movie? I was crying all the way thru that one! I even had trouble the next morning thinking of that one! I am so glad you are feeling better. This place just ain't the same when you are MIA!

Tomorrow we are off to the Tulsa area to see the Oklahoma Aquarium. It's been highly recommended to us and the little girls are going too. Should be really nice.

Dee, I need to clean out one of my closests now that I did my best to keep up with Jeri! I do have a weakness for shopping.

So no sewing. But that's okay, I'm still mad at it!
