Happy Monday Apple Just checking in before its time to head out to work.
Pammy I will remind you not to have a yard sale on sundy if you remind me not to have one at all...lol I did one last weekend-made a whole 37.00-but part of that was because I got a late start and I was almost giving stuff away, just wanted to get rid of it and because I knew I was donating whatever was left I had to be able to fit the remains in my car....hope you did better as the day went on.
Jenell love Pickles...thanks for sharing Banana
Meg....I love going to community events, outdr movie sounds like fun. I miss most of our community stuff cause of the 2 jobs...hope to make skyfest in sept-there will be hot air balloons-if you have never been its a blast-or just fun to watch them float along in the sky. Hope you are feeling ok today.
I had a nice surprise on saturday...my middle grand daughter was visiting in Nv and my youngest daughter decided it would be fun to surprise me w/ a overnite visit-so I had 2 of the four GD's and youngest daughter here for a fun weekend...went to Sizzler for dinner and walked out like stuffed piggys.
I was able to work in my sewing rm on sunday after all the company left-I have to hurry up and find something to get my mind off the good byes whenever the kids leave...lol
have a great monday everyone Sporty

Dee,

I have never been to the balloon fest in either Albequerque or Davenport, Iowa, but I used to work for a company that manufactured balloons and did balloon promotions. I have participated in events in Ohio and Michigan and was at one time studying for a pilots license. It is a sensation that is beyond words. It is so quiet and peaceful, except, of course, during a burn. Closest thing most folks will get to an out-of-body experience.

The weatherman has promised us some cooler weather, but I don't see or feel any evidence of it yet! Back to the dungeon to do more laundry! Have a great day all!

Dee, you are in good company. You would be surprised how many pilots have a fear of heights, including me! I think it is because you don't really have a sensation of movement, except when you are rising or descending and moving through air currents traveling in different directions.

The yard sale was a complete bust on Sunday.. We made 75 cents and shut down by 11am. But over the Friday & Sat. we made around $500.00. Not too bad for stuff that was going to be donated anyways.

I managed to finish my tree skirt so tomorrow it goes to the quilter. I got 9 of my 28 squares done on the dreaded brown quilt too. Hoping to have it done VERY soon. I have 3 new fabrics calling me to the rotary! Eek Pammy, that was a great take on the garage sale! Wish I could have shopped there.

Meg, if you ever finish up that license, I would love a ride in a balloon! That is one of the things to do on my bucket list. Big Grin

You're on, Jenell!

I did nine loads of laundry yesterday. That many trips up and down the stairs and I am not fit for anything today. I am so stiff!

Cut out some pieces of denim to cover the dog's other bed. Want to clean my dresser and finish putting the rest of the clean clothes away. Then I plan to take it easy for the rest of the day. Herman and I are going to play Barbie's in the sunroom this afternoon!

Have a great day all!
