May I be the first to say welcome to the New Year! Hope health and prosperity follow you all year long. Have a few chores to finish and then am sitting down with some hand-sewing and watch the Hockey game from Wrigley Field. I am sure there will be many other BC-ers rooting along with me for the Red Wings- beat Chicago!

Well, Happy New Year to you, too, Meg!! and everyone!!! Hope it's a wonderful year for all!!

Well, Meg, since my Oilers aren't playing there, I WILL root for the Wings! Go, Wings!! Oh, wait, Chicago was always my fave in the original 6 - that's who I used to root for!! Oh, well, may the best team win!!!

Happy New Year everyone.
Hope your team won Meg & Gerda. I'm not much of a sports fan but I enjoyed doing my yearly thing of watching the Rose Bowl parade. I have fond memories of sleeping out on the side walk to save good spots for family members to see the parade. The floats are just amazing, considering everything has to be covered with organic things. Everything from flower petals, to seeds. It's quite a big thing.

Here's hoping for a wonderful and prosperour year for all! Confetti

Rebecca, I slept on the sidewalk one year when I was very young! It was sooo cold! But worth it to see such a wonderful parade. Gosh that had to be in the mid 60's. Time flies!!!

Janell.
You slept out too for the parade, cool. Yes I remember it was cold. It was a great experience but my bones couldn't take the hard ground now.
It's a rainy day today, perfect for sewing.
Have a good day everyone Smile

Hmmmmm......think I will stick to the comfort of my easy chair to watch any and all parades! LOL

Been taking it easy today; DH had the day off so I let him get caught up on his sleep, although we did run a couple of errands.

Morning ladies! I went in and dusted the chat room if anybody needs to use it! LOL Boy it's been a while since we have been in there. I did open up the windows to let is air.

I'm helping my aunt spend a gift card today. She needs some clothes because hers were burned in a fire so we are going to have lots of fun dressing her today. Big Grin

So how is everyone adjusting to a full work week? I'm not feeling it too good yet. I can't believe our next holiday in in May!! Eek
