Betty, no harm,no foul. It was kinda funny to pop in and see everything was gone. I blinked! But onward and upward and away we go again.
You have more heads, Jenell? Do you keep them in the store or do you bring them home? I'd for sure like to see Bambi all dressed up, LOL.
Melita.....jams? How yummy is that. I have no idea how you would go about preserving olives, i'm sorry to say. Have you tried Googling it? That's where i go when i confused or wondering about something.
Glad your feeling better Scrappy Pat. Rest and don't wear yourself out, hear?

True confessions, I have 2 heads, (no smirking out there) a pheasant, a duck, and 1 cow skull. Now just to set the record straight, we didn't cause the demise of any of these fine critters. People just bring them to us and we kind of have to put them up somewhere. I think their wives get tired of dusting them and make them get rid of them. At least they can still see them on our wall. We have lots of 'stuff' that has come to us in this same fashion. Some of it really has to go in the warehouse due to the sheer ugliness of it! I keep telling hubby we are turning into a museum.
Melita that jam sounds wonderful! Strawberry is my favorite! Ya'll can use my toaster in the morning since I'm never up that early. Some day I'm going to try making some. We have blackberries growing and finally had enough this year to make our first cobbler. I was pretty impressed with that.
Ned you are a very brave man indeed. I would agree with your decisions, at least I think so. Still, lots of prayers are out there for you. And more hugs.
Pat, don't worry sweetie, I know it's all in fun.
And at the risk of repeating myself, I'll be scarce tomarrow, my son comes in from ND and I think all will be chaos. But I'll try to check in on ya' and see what's happening.
... coffee maker is on and the water is hot for tea ... ... stop by and have a cup with me ...
Jenell ... thanks for the group hig ... I am always ready for one ...
Dori ... sewing is resting and taking it easy ... and nothing makes me feel better ... except maybe a hug ... that is one of the reasons why we quilt ... a quilt is a hug made out of fabric and the thread that binds us together ...
Ned ... you gets lots of hugs from that quilt we made you ... may it give you love, warmth, comfort, rest and peace ... and hope ... as you look toward the new horizon ...
... we Quilter Bees are plotting a floral fabric swap in the middle of winter .. it is how we plant seeds and root cuttings ... and look forward to spring ...
DB ... where are you, girlfriend? ... heading off to work? ... grab a cup of coffee on the run and take a look at this gorgeous "work in progress" ... http://blockcentral.net/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/2131023863/m/7671079693 I have this pattern book and I am going to work up the gumption to make this quilt someday. It is just my favorite quilt pattern ever. Jacqui is making this pattern, too ... I plan to learn from the quilters who go before me ...
The boards sure are quiet today ... think I will go play with the snow fabric ... ...

(((((((Hugs))))))))) to all....running late... the entire crazy staff at work has purchased outfits to look like "The Wizard Of Oz" movie cast. They are BIG into Halloween and I've grown out of it over the years. The only player left to be was "The fat Mayor"...lol Next year I'm voting for Teletubbies...lolol Anyhow... it should be wild and I'm taking my camera. Better go put it in my purse now. Since Halloween is on Friday (and half our center is closed on Friday) we celebrate anything that lands on that day TWO times SO everyone can partake in the festivities. They are nuts...lol
Jenell I didn't think your photos were offensive at all. I'm from a very long line of serious game hunters. Looked pretty normal to me...lol Post on woman!
Pat! Thanks for the link AND the much needed coffee. Will peek at them later...
Need to scoot... more later.
xoxo

Jenell, I am an avid outdoors woman. I killed my first deer last year. I love to fish, hunt, garden (vegetable and flower)and go camping. My DH and I do it all together and maybe that is why we are still as in love today as we were when we met 30 years ago! We have been married for 27+ and have 2 kids and 2 grandkids! I could post a few pictures of my own! We are in the process of having 3 HUGE bass mounted that we caught this summer! Mine was almost 7lbs but DH caught 2 the same day that were over 9lbs. each! One of these days I will get some photos uploaded so I can share them with everybody!
Sherry
When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me."
SURPRISE! Yep, I wasn't supposed to be here today. I was doing my last minute cleaning and getting all fixed up for my trip to the airport when my son called. HE MISSED HIS FLIGHT!!! Arrrrgggghhhhh!!!!! So now I get to drive to Tulsa tonight and pick him up at 11:30pm. I don't have any idea how you can miss a plane when you have to check in an hour early, but that's my son. Always late and always blonde!
Sherry! Those are some big fish! You aren't too far from me. My mother used to live around The Talahina Drive. We love pictures here so setup a photobucket account and post on!
Well I think I will go and learn to cut bias strips with all my EXTRA time today. Count it all joy! lol
HELLO, HELLO! Today we brought gran home from the nursing home... she's back to her old self but with a wheeled walker instead of a cane. She cruising around the house like an 80 year old! Now that she's home and DD's car is fixed I have some free time... almost forgot what that was! I've been digging through my quilt books to see what I can create next... I have all these cute little snowmen and their piles of snow filling my sewing room.
Sherry- You fish? That's great. I used to fish a bit but not too much lately. In the summer I do alot of gardening ...both flower and veggies.. Plus DH has his orchard. We didnt have too much luck with the orchard this year with the raccoons beating us to the fruit. Next year we'll be waiting for them. I need to spend an afternoon outside and turn my garden over for the winter. Everything is done now and I've cut the last of the herbs so I need to do some cleaning up. The weather today is BEAUTIFUL... yesterdays snow is gone but not for long. You've been married the same as me... 27+.. DH and I were married in May of 81... boy, how time flies!
Jenell- OK... WHAT'S WITH THE BLONDE JOKES?..lol.. (yes, Im blonde! Does bottle blonde count?) Your son is probably like my brother... he has a 7:30 flight ...he gets there at 7:15... and then cant understand how he misses it... DUH! Our metro airport down by Detroit is HUGE and it takes forever just to walk from parking to the gate... Plus loads of traffic to get to the airport is a given. DH and I usually have to plan for 2 hours early. Well, HOPE HE MAKES THE LATE FLIGHT ...dont you just LOVE kids?!
DB- LOL... I think teletubbies would be GREAT! Sounds like a fun party.
Melita-YUM, jam ....I make strawberry, raspberry and this year I made a combo of raspberry/blueberry. That was fantastic. I make the freezer kind because it's so easy and tastes so fresh. I think we are already out of the strawberry and it's only been 5 months. DH loves to put it on his bagels on top of the cream cheese... kind of like having dessert.
Hi Dori, Ned, Pat.. and anyone I missed! I think I might pull out a James Patterson novel for the fun of it this evening. I need to sew for a bit on DD's quilt and I have to find a pattern for my new winter quilt but then I think I'll make some tea and read.... ahhhh
Jenell-I can't have any more radiation, any chemo will probably be worse on me than on the cancer, and Surgery would just weaken me further.Besides I'd have to do some travelling & staying away from home to get any treatment at all.To me,it was a lose lose situation.
Thanks,Pat.
And thanks to you too,Dori.
Sherry-good for you. Those are pretty good size bass, but I've never caught a bass.Salmon, halibut & Ling cod yes. Also lots of trout.
Ned - I respect your decision to not continue with treatment. It must have been a difficult decision to make. Sounds lie you've had a very long, hard battle. Hope you can remain at peace and in relative freedom from pain. Keep us posted...
N Deb- glad Gran is back home. I'm sure she's happy
Jenell - sounds like a typical young adult. sorry you have to drive in the dark. Hope you get those bias strips cut,
Sherry - sounds like all you need is a billy bass trio? LOL.
DB - sounds like you have lots of fun at work. My mom was head nurse of the oncology unit at Providence, Portland from the time it first opened up in the mid 70's until she retired in 1992. The nurses and staff she worked with had regular planned fun at work, and time to blow off steam away from work as well They are still long time friends.
