Hi Ho! Denise, i'm the same way. I talk the talk, but i hate confrontation. However, if i feel strongly enough about something...you bet i'll talk about it. I'm a firm believer in "silence implys consent" and if i aint consenting.......i'd doing something about it. Jenell, was that the brown quilt i seem to remember on your blog? The one you said you would never do another again? For your mother? I tried to check on your link, but all i got was an invitation to start my own quilting blog, and somehow i don't think finding quilts in yard sales and second hand stores qualifies. LOL. I'm sorry it didn't turn out the way you wanted it to. That is just not right. DB, come out come out wherever you are! Yikes, i wonder if she sewed herself into a hanging. That would be terrible! Have a good one, i see our tailfeathers got trimmed again. Huggies winkies!

Hey Kids! I'm off today to get some baking done. Bill is going to regret that since we will be really busy at the store. But that's the price you pay for owning your own, nobody to take up slack on the holidays. I got cornbread in the oven and next up are pies. Oh it's going to be messy! Dori that was the brown quilt in my blog. And that wasmy blog! Apparently it's lost in cyberspace somewhere now. I will have to try to get another one going but just don't have the time or the heart to right now. This is the second one I've lost and it really sucks to lose all my info and contacts. I'm not confrontational either Denise, at least not untill I have really been pushed to my limit. This quilter is new in her business and she has made me love some of the quilts that I hated when I sent them to her so I'm going to forgive her for this one. I have made many mistakes too and it wouldn't be right for me to just walk off at this point from her. I need to remember that she is as human as I am. She is a really sweet girl and I'm not ready to give up on her. Now I say all this after I've had a couple of days to cool down. So don't go thinking I'm Mother Theresa. If we have another screw up like this I will be looking. Also, she is really reasonable in price so that helps my attitude too. She only charged me $45.00 for this one and it's 92X80. So that's a really good price for quilting. Well I better get busy or Bill will wonder why I stayed home today! Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family. There are so many that will go without tomorrow, we are truly blessed. TAAAAAAAAAA-DAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! Finished my 3'x4' wall hanging!!!! I made my goal! The pictures don’t do it justice because the bling does sparkle when the light hits it right. The little icicles are opalescent glass, and there is a single rhinestone in the center of each poinsettia. I even have my sewn label on...it’s ready to be shown off....and to hit the mail ASAP. I’m worn out...NOW I only have ONE MORE QUILT to finish in two weeks. Not bad but considering I haven’t even STARTED IT YET....LOL...........yikes! I love the technique of making the “sleeve” (the back hanging part) of the wall hanging. NO muss...NO FUSS! It hangs straight as a arrow too! Ok...it’s late... and I need to go pass out. Tomorrow morning we are going to JoAnn’s “Crazy Sale” to look at star shaped buttons! After I got this alllllllll done I was sorry I didn’t find a gold star button for the top of the tree! So...we are going to peek at these and IF we find a nice star button...that will be the last of alllllllllllllllllllllllll of it!! Night night... poof*. Wishing You "HEALTH and HAPPINESS" In 2009!!!

Thank you Thank you! *taking a little bow*...lol I liked making it...but was ready to be done with this one... I can tell you that. It wasn't hard, but it was a bit knit-picky with allllllllllll those little half square triangle centers on the Poinsettias. I don't know how anyone would make a full sized bed spread out of this...lol Carl's mom is 85 yrs old and declared last year she was just too tired to put up a Christmas tree anymore She's such an angel.... has had serious health problems but STILL crochets Preemie blanket sets for their local hospital (and has for years). She's just amazing. The FUNNY PART is that when I bought this pattern a couple years ago I THOUGHT it was going to be little...maybe 18"x24"...and when I made the top star I went..."uhoh"... it's 3'x4' (with my modified border)....lolol Live and learn...she gets a full sized tree sans the shedding needles...lol Anyhooooooo........thanks again! It's always fun to turn a UFO into a completed project. Wishing You "HEALTH and HAPPINESS" In 2009!!!

She will love it !!! What a great idea to give her a tree that doesn't need a lot of maintenance I have made a little table topper from the christmas tree block pattern you sent out I haven't really put embellishment on it as things will probably be put on top of it lol, all I have done is pop a red and gold border on and tied a little gold organza bow at the top JAcqui
