Morning Pat..
Thanks for the goodies!! YUM-O!!! I’ll be at the table when that turkey pie hits the table too. Just the thought of that makes my “little squirters” go...lolol The town tree lighting and parade sounds soooooo neat. I hope you take some photos for us! I’m sure there’ll be photos with your dd playing/marching.

Ok........I’m about done taking photos of this quilt, but but but... yesterday we found a BETTER “BLING-BUTTON” for the tree top...and while trying to get a picture I FINALLY got the actual COLOR of the quilt captured. That’s been a real challenge.

It’s raining... foggy... I can hear the fog horns singing out on the ocean ships aaaaaand we have a big ol’ fire going. It’s this weather that reminds me of growing up on the water in San Francisco! I love every drizzly misty moment of it even if it DOES make my hair look like Brillo...lol

Have to go hit the shower etc... we have to do a Costco run...ugh...lol If we get there as the doors open it’s not so bad.

Huggiessssssssssssss............and poof*

HEIDI HO! Ive been online doing research on Lewy Body dementia this morning... so hadn't checked in here until just now.

We got Mom's apartment totally emptied yesterday, even got the keys turned in. Went to visit her and she seemed to be in better spiriets than I'd seen her in for quit a while. Let's hope this trend continues...

Still have not made it into the sewing room, but hpe todo that tday, while watching the ORegon / Oregon State game on tv.

Better find the shower, and the kitchen sink... dishes are piling from last night and breakfast.

Okay okay, I'll get out of bed now! Razz Now you should know by now that I'm NOT the early bird! Pumkin pie anyone? Pleeaasseeee??? Oh I'm sick of pie! But cheesecake is still on my mind. And stuffing too. But I think by tomorrow I'm going to have to let the dogs have a feast. Anyone have a good turkey enchilada recipe? I managed to freeze a good amount for it.

Felicia, your little tree is so cute! Next year you will have to string some garland for it. LOL

Well I was going to do some shopping today but it was so nice to have the house all to myself that I decided to stay home and do a little decorating instead. It's pretty nice outside and I need to put some garland around my porch. And there is lots of football to keep up with too.

MamaK, it's good to see you back, we miss all the gardeners here. And I hope you bring a few more in with you.

Now Jacqui, I'll post my picture if you will post yours. Big Grin Who is always asking for pictures here? Yes I believe it is YOU! Come on girlfriend, you go first!

Howdy to everyone, Pat, Denise, Dori, and I see Cindy sneaking in too!

Ohhh! pass the cheesecake..YUMMMMMY for my tummy!

DB.. Your little quilt is beautiful. I love the Tree Top Bling!

Mama..You had the whole family there? Cool!!! My brother Mike didn't make it down, his car broke down, and the part won't be in until Monday. So no wheels for him. My Dad offered to go pick him up but he declined, being that's it's an hour drive each way. How's your Mom??

Well, I'm jumping in here and don't know much else that's going on. I'll catch up later. Hubbie is sitting here waiting for me to get off the pc..LOL..BBL Sporty

Welllllllllllllll......

We survived Costco...actually we timed it perfectly!!!! We looked at every new Christmas DO-DA in every stinkin’ row......grazed our way through alllll the fun little “munchie vendors”... and walked RIGHT UP to an open check out stand... LIFE IS GOOD! As we were leaving the shoppers were streaming in like flies ..hehe Came home...made up turkey sandwiches...and came in here to NAB a piece of Jenell’s cheesecake...mmmmmmmm......mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......good! Carl and the dog are sleeping off a turkey sandwich hangovers...lol

Jenell..
YEAH WELL SMARTY... er.....a.... I’m taking a hand quilting class in January...and when the quilt comes back (which I have requested it does for my 2009 county fair quilt) I now want to hand quilt around each of the Poinsettia’s about ¼” inside the edge...lololol And...like I said earlier... bead some snowflakes in the background fabric...lol THEN... I’M REALLY REALLY REAAAAAAAAALLY DONE...lol But... umm...how do you make garland for a wall hanging....just curious ?..hehe.. Ohhhhhhhhhhh I could string pearls to look like POPCORN AND CRANBERRIES!!!!!! lmaooooooooooooooooooooooooooo............ Me likka dis idea....lol Glad you got a day for YOU...those are so nice! I have a GRAND IDEA! Just post your picture first! Challenge Jacqui to have a quilt block ‘THROW DOWN” like Bobby Flay does on the Food Channel...lol

Denise..
I helped get a little lady with terminal liver cancer put into assisted living about 6 weeks ago. She was in on the decision, and okay with it. We thought we just put her there to live out the remainder of her days comfortably with 24/7 medical supervision. Well.......lolol... she’s up... going strong.. playing bingo and cards allllllll the time. Her 85 yr old BIL said she’s like a different person so maybe your mom’s spirits will continue to come up. It really was an unexpected “up swing!”. You’re watching OR vs OR? Does that mean they are playing with themselves?... Just wondering... hehe

Cindy...
I like your Proverbs. Ditto to you.."where where"??

Bearrrrrrrrrrr!
Hi ya hi ya!! Yep... I saved a piece of cheesecake for JUST for you... but..it was hard! I have ZERO control when it comes to eating good cheesecake...and IT’S NEVER TOO RICH FOR ME. That’s a bummer about your bro...he missed out on lots of GOOD EATS! Especially the dish I brought...lol It was so low-cal and very light. Razz Catch you later...

O-Tay ladies... Carl and I are off to get the Christmas tree and decorations out....etc. He flies out tomorrow night (which is a very strange time)...and we’re gonna have the tree up come heck or high water.

Huggiessssssssssssssss

poof*

Hi Ho BCville gangies!

I'm am just about toast, and my puter is almost out of juice so this is gonna be short and sweet. Kinda like me, LOL

I have the most neatest Thanksgiving, ate to much, had to much fun, and barely survived the post turkey glow.

Then i got up early (yikes) and went to hit Black Friday. I got one of my bargains, and struck out on 4 of them. I was quite vexed, one of the bargains i was going for.....the store opened at 6, i was there at 6:18 and they were sold out. There was a couple other things on my list that i was going to get there, but i was so peeved, i walked out of the store and didn't spend a dime. I dislike bait and switch, and if you don't have enough of your sales items to make it thru 18 MINUTES!!!!!!!!!!, it's bait and switch.

Next year, i'm going to shop online.

Yikes, i'm dimming, BBL

Well Felica you should be very proud of yourself as the quilt is beautiful and anyone would be glad to have that as their own and especially your mother-in-law. that was very nice of you to make that for her.

Sounds like most everything is going good here in this thread too. Glad yto hear everyone is doing ok.

We went with my middle brother and his wife, myself and my hubby to Portland to meet my older brother who drove to Richland for the holiday. We took him to the airport and we picked up my mom's car that he had. We went shopping at the mall near the airport and at Costco and headed back hom with mom's car. We had a great trip. Tomorrow we will decorate for Christmas and hang up lights. Whoohoo!

Dori - I know what you mean. I went to JoAnn's yesterday morning to purchase a cricut machine and some cartridges.... all at 50% off or more. since you can never use the regular coupons on these items, nor the coupons for this weekend, I figured it was worth the trip to wait in line.

they had sold out of machines right away. nowhere in the ad did it saythey were a doorbuster or limited to stock on hand, but I was not able to special order and pay for a sale price machine. the cashier I had, said that people were buying 4 and 5 of them at a time. If they are limited to stock on hand, it should be one per person per trip through line!

This was an item for my own personal use, and I did buy some of the cartridges on sale. I will probably buy a machine from HSN or somewhere else on line. I have seen the machines for close to to the same price....

It is irksome when stores don't specify how many they have for a sale if limited. I usually don't participate in Black Friday madness.

Good Morning girls!
I can imagine you're all still sleeping in there on the west coast. I'm about to get ready for work..UGH! What I really wanted to do was walk the village with my friend and co-worker during the Dicken's Christmas today. We have so much fun shopping, eatting, and just hanging out...BUTTTTT my Dragon Lady of a boss said no can do and scheduled me 9:30 to 6. I think she has it in for me!

Denise..
That seems to be the way with Black Friday sales. There's never enough to go around. My husband has worked in retail all his life, one company he worked for cut back his order for black friday sales. He argued about that one, but they heard fast and would NOT let him order more an a certain amount. It was ridiculous!! It's just to get you in the door. I poohed poohed black friday years ago..

LadyG..sounds like you had a nice time with the family.

Dori...it's what Thanksgiving is all about...Food and more food..lol..glad you had a blast.

DB.. did you get your tree up? I usually get to the point of dragging everything out of the attic then looking at it, scratching my head, and saying to myself..where do I start?..LOL It's a momentious job!

ok..I'm off to get ready..catch up to y'all later
