I read on the Quiltville site about appliqueing using old fashioned starch and glue. So I'm giving it a go. Had to look very hard to find the old fashioned starch, most shops only carry the spray stuff. But after making a complete mess of my kitchen and iron got the material starched and dry. Cut out the pieces and glued them with a glue stick. They seem to stick and sew fairly well. Even did a couple of pieces without the starch and they didn't turn out to bad. Has anyone else tried this method. I wanted something that would be soft in the end as it is for a baby.
Cheers
Ruth
