I do hope I understood Betty correctly. This is her post from August 28. I am assuming you want a new thread each month so the previous ones can be easily deleted.
"Evening all, I have been cleaning out! lol Whoever posts the first Good Morning in Sept....would you please make a new thread!
We can keep up with it easier! Thanks everyone!"
So since it is almost midnight here, I will be the first to say, "Good mooorrrrrnnnniingg, Oc-to-ber!"
Happy October, everyone! I'm out in my flower bed, planting spring bulbs - tulips, double daffs, hyacinth, crocuses (those are going in my lawn, and woe betide my DH if he decides to mow the grass before they bloom!! ), and a few others. Methinks I bought too many for my wee garden! Well, I'll try to find a cool place to over winter the remainder.
I got a few blocks made this morning for a charity quilt, and got them to the PO right quick! I have 2 BPSII blocks cut out and ready to sew, am part way through making a new apron, with a pieced bib, and a matching table cloth for the kitchen table, and, and,.... too many to mention!
Well, back to the sweat shop aka my garden in the warm sun!! It's around 70F, but no breeze (which we have most days). So, hey, ya think I might lose a pound or two from sweating? Oh, wait, that's not genteel! I am glowing, my dear cousins! and dripping to boot!
Later!!!
Cousin Marian O'Nutt aka Gerda

Dorian, I love your block and the colors are beautiful. Hopefully, if you can't find the green and blue, you can find the same color in a similar print to use.
Gerda, you sure sound busy. You are going to have such beautiful flowers in spring because of your hard work now. And the apron and matching tablecloth sound so neat. Would love to see a photo of it.
I've spent the past two days, hiding in my sewing room to escape the zoo in the rest of the house. Had to have an improperly installed laminate floor taken up in two rooms and reinstalled, properly this time. Because it wasn't put in right, long story and I was partialy to blame, some of the boards had broken. The room my computer is in is a small bedroom. The other room is larger, the dining room. So, good boards from the small room was used to replace the broken boards in the larger room. Then had to purchase new laminate for the small room. Couldn't get the exact color we had before as it's not being made now so the new is a little darker. But, it's so pretty that I don't mind at all. Tomorrow they are going to reinstall the baseboards and then I can get those two rooms put back together and get the house back in order. In the meantime, I did get two months Happy Blocks made, blocks for a comfort quilt for a friend, finished a UFO table runner, and got some sorting done in the sewing room. Got to make room for the new machine that's coming to live at my house, a Janome 1100 Special Edition. I absolutely fell in love with it. Now to find time to play with it and really learn how to use it.
It's been a long day. I think I'm going to turn on the tv in the bedroom and watch the playoff baseball game.
Gerda, I have ordered more of the blue from Jess's store thequiltandneedle.com but the green Connie dyed and I don't know if she has some more she is willing to sell or not. I haven't asked her yet. lol.
Ugh Barb, what a mess! Glad you're getting new floors though, sounds lovely. Woohoo on your new machine!!
Okay to all the ladies that wanted patterns from me and I was too technilogicly handicapped, my DIL has graciously volunteered to take them all home and scan them for me and that should make things easier for everyone. So Pat, NDeb, Meg, and Betty, bear with me. I'm still working on it! Pat, I don't know if this pattern is pp or not, but I just found another one that is applique! So I will send you that one also.
Barb congrats on your new machine and your new floor! I have to get out my embroidery machine and figure it out so I can sign my latest and send it off. Sounds like you got lots of sewing done in the meantime.
What is Christmas? It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future. It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal, and that every path may lead to peace.--Agnes M. Pharo .
Well, by the time i can get on here after work, especially here on the west coast, all you folks must be ready for the sleepy time tea. No coffee left here to help mekeep my eyes peeled open enough to cut out the quilt I'm tring to do tonite.. LOL

Well, I worked on getting my paper piece pattern on a pdf format... I scanned my drawing then printed it off and it ends up 1/4" smaller than my original. Am I doing something wrong? Anyone know? I am going to email it to all of you that asked but you might just have to redraw it on graph paper the way I did originally. Otherwise you wont end up with a 12x12 block. Jenell-Let me know if the pattern your DIL scans comes out the size of the original. Im really curious if I did something wrong... I wouldnt be surpised if I did. I'm sort of learning as I go along.
