Oh, my goodness, Barb! You have had quite an adventure the past couple of weeks. I had to laugh about the gas shortage issue. This morning, DH was watching a rerun of the Walton's while eating breakfast. It was the episode where Jim Bob and Clancey begin distilling alcohol and end up with such a high proof that they can operate vehicles with it. Of course, John tells them that the government doesn't have a high opinion of people distilling alcohol, even for vehicles, so they apply for a license. They recieve a letter telling them that experts in the field say it can't be done. Jim Bob and Clancey reason that the government can't be upset about something that can't possibly exist so they go right on running their still! Too funny!

Good morning! Oops, it's afternoon already. I had a great time at Dad's birthday weenie roast this weekend. Finished the back on my big brown quilt. Just need to press it, square it, and sign it before sending it off to the quilter. What a relief!

Dorian I would love to see yours, I bought a frayed edge pattern book recently and want to make a quilt using this technique someday. I think it's really pretty and would hide lots of my little errors. Wink

Barb, what a cool trip you had! Sounds like you met lots new friends. The farm sounds wonderful and I hope your aunt can keep it going by herself. I wonder why there is a shortage there and not here? We will be watching for you to come back. I know you are going to love your new floor.

Pat, get you a little nap girl, and you will back to normal soon.

Hi Meg, Walton's reruns? LOL

Afternoon, ALL!!
YEAH, Jenell... doesnt it feel great to get something done? My time is coming soon, I hope...
Meg-I wish I knew the recipe to that high octane stuff!
Barb- What's going on down there to create a shortage? Is it a weather thing or something else?
Pat- Not a good night, huh? Well, it's nap time here. Going to go out to Subway with Al for a sandwich (late lunch) and then take a snooze myself. I still have a pounding headache ..since yesterday. I wonder if it was from sniffing bug spray....hmmmm... darn bees! We still have them flying around the basement and havent found out how they're getting in. I did get a few to fly out the door. They'll probably just turn around a find a way back in Roll Eyes

Meg,
Had to laugh about the Walton's rerun and distilling alcohol. We live out in a rural area here in E TN and the county moonshiner lives about half a mile down the road from us. Wonder if he's ever tried to get it strong enough to run his truck on it. Hummm, interesting idea.

Well, it's about time to shut everything down and disconnect it all. Since I set this computer up when I bought it, I'm pretty sure I can get it all put back together so it will work again. Just wish I had another internet cable connection in another room. Oh well, I'll hide in my sewing room and stay out of the way tomorrow. Hopefully they will get it all done in one day. Sure hope so.

About the farm, Howard is now wanting to buy a small piece of land, 2 to 3 acres, and move back to that area. I sure hope he decides where he wants to move by the time the house sells. That's 5 different areas he's been looking at since we put the house on the market and said we were downsizing. I guess 3 acres is downsizing since we now have 7. Big Grin I'd just like to know if I'm going to NC, FL, MO, or the 2 different places in TN. Quite a difference in location and climate. Oh well, one of these days he's going to have to make a decision. Me, I could be happy with any of them as long as I have a sewing room.

See you all on Wednesday evening.
